Chapter 145: Sore loser (2)
Lexiel sent a thunderbolt in the direction where they were hiding. Damien dodged to one side while Dom raised his hands and created a barrier with the help of the branches and the leaves. And at the same time, Serena stepped forward. She raised her hands and formed a hand formation.
Damien watched her actions and noticed a slight boom in the air, which knocked Eli down.
Seeing that everyone was doing their best, Damien didn't want to hide either. He activated the eye of observation and detected the weak spot of all four beastmen in front of him.
He raised his sword and snuck behind Eli, who was trying to get back on her feet. Seeing this, he turned the sword such that the hilt was facing the back of the woman and attacked her right on the base of her neck.
"Damn!" Lan turned to look at Eli, who fell to the ground. He raised his claws and slashed at the mist behind him, but Damien had long expected this to happen and rushed over to the other side.
"What the fuck just happened?" Jacob looked around; he really did not expect that they would be ambushed. What was more, they did not sense the other party at all!
Lexiel narrowed his eyes as he looked around the forest; he knew that there were only three minutes left for the game to end. If he did not deal with this group, then the victory would go to them.
He was so close to winning; how could he allow anyone to ruin his victory?
"What the—"
Damien fell to the ground when he saw the man crazily shooting thunderbolts all over the surrounding region.
[Host, please stay low. The intensity of these thunderbolts are enough to kill a person.]
Dan announced a warning and Damien cursed in a low voice. This man was crazy; did he forget the rules or what? He was aiming to kill!
He turned to look at Serena, whose eyes narrowed, and a second later, Damien saw her send four winding but invisible forces in the air that knocked the two men down to their feet, and at the same time it sent Lexiel back a few steps.
However, it was not enough to stop the crazy man. Thus, Damien sent a vicious uppercut with Waterblade, which caused Lexiel to be stunned.
A Klaxon-like sound roared behind them, announcing the end of the games and Damien sucked in a breath. He rolled his shoulders and slid down on the floor. After using the little mana that he had, he was really tired.
"Ah, finally the game is over. I thought that—"
"AHHHH!"
Dom was still speaking when suddenly his entire body wrapped up in a golden electric current.
"Dom!"
"Lexiel, what the fuck are you doing?" Serena yelled at Lexiel, who had his hand raised in the air. "The game is over!"
"It's not over until I win!" Lexiel snarled. He looked like one of those bullies from his school. They acted the same when they lost a football game.
Lexiel stepped forward and said, "You bastards, how dare you play with me?"
His chest rose and fell while he eyed Damien and his team. He couldn't believe it, no he refused to believe that he lost in the hands of the beastman who did not even have a core.
He summoned his spear and charged at Damien.
"Woah, hey!" Damien dodged to one side under the threat of being speared by an electric spear.
"What are you doing?" Damien demanded while eyeing the man who went for another attack.
Lexiel sneered and instead of answering, he stabbed his spear once again and this time Damien was not able to dodge. And the next thing that followed was a sensation that he never wanted to feel ever again.
It was like getting caught in the middle of a bunch of electric eels. His bones ached, his skin stung and burned. His mind went completely blank and he couldn't even open his mouth to scream. However the pain was excruciating.
BANG!
Damien flew back and knocked against the floor but he did not complain. The pain of his shoulder knocking against the ground was much better than getting electrocuted to death.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Argh!" Damien gasped while wrapping his hand around his waist. He got to his feet and turned to look at Lexiel. "Are you crazy, you bastard? Why did you attack me for no reason?"
"That's right, Lexiel,"Serena stepped in front of Damien and glared at Lexiel. "We won fair and square; what you are doing is against the rules."
"You damn bitch—"
Whatever he was going to say was interrupted as the entire area where they were standing started glowing and they all returned to the starting point where they all started the game.
"Lexiel, lower your spear." Lord Godric looked at his grandson. His gaze was stern as he stated, "Serena is right; what you have done is against the rules. Damien and his team won the games with their own wits. They won the game fairly. "
Lexiel turned his head and glared at Lord Godric. For a whole minute, Damien was worried that Lexiel was going to stab the old master with how the entire ground was getting filled with a heavy atmosphere. However, Lexiel only snorted and then turned on his feet before walking away.
His team followed him.
Everyone waited with bated breath and only when Lexiel was far away did the teams that lost the game walk over to their team.
"That was an impressive victory," Levi praised with a disgruntled expression on his face. He was covered in a blue liquid, which was healing the side of his cheek that was burnt by Lexiel's attack.
"Yes, it was. Can't you see how much I had to pay for it?" Damien nursed his aching bones and then asked, "How did they transport all of us together?"
"They must have used an ancient transmitter," Levi answered. "Lord Godric is friends with the archmage of the magic tower of the capital."
