Chapter 50
Chapter 50: Biscuit’s Avoidance x New Training Plan
” Ahem ahem! ”
Biscuit snapped out of her fervor, coughing awkwardly as she stopped her movements and retracted her Magic Beauty Cookies.
“I’ve roughly gauged the extent of your body’s improvement. Next, let’s test the changes in your Nen abilities.”
“Test my Nen abilities? How?”
Without the massage, Luo Lin stood up and asked Biscuit.
“Just apply all of your Nen techniques as quickly as possible. Make sure to use your full strength,” Biscuit instructed.
“Alright!” Luo Lin nodded and immediately began without hesitation.
“First… Ren!”
With a soft command, Nen energy exploded from Luo Lin’s body, flaring up like raging flames.
“Next… Ten, and harden!”
The previously turbulent Nen suddenly calmed, wrapping tightly around him, heavy and dense, flowing slowly like the quiet deep sea—serene on the surface, yet filled with powerful undercurrents.
“What terrifying speed, and such a chilling calm,” Biscuit muttered, her eyes filled with gravity as she observed.
She could tell that Luo Lin’s latent and active aura hadn’t changed much since the morning, but…
His control over Nen had improved dramatically.
Whether it was the activation speed of Ren or the concentration of Ten, they were both more than twice as strong as before.
Luo Lin, however, paid no attention to Biscuit’s expression, entirely focused on his Nen techniques.
Although he’d noticed earlier that his aura manipulation felt more natural, now that he was using it, he realized—this wasn’t just “natural.”
It was as if the aura moved entirely at his command. A thought, and the aura followed. His control was unbelievably precise.
“Should I… up the difficulty a little?”
A thought flashed through Luo Lin’s mind. Without hesitation, he broke the usual sequence.
After Ken, the next techniques should have been Ryu and Ko to concentrate aura for a powerful hit, but instead, Luo Lin…
“En!”
With a soft shout, the aura that had been tightly wrapped around him suddenly expanded outward. Thin waves of Nen spread 60 meters in all directions from where he stood.
This wasn’t Luo Lin’s limit either—it was just that his aura wasn’t dense enough to expand En further all at once.
“Eighty-meter radius! So that’s my current limit?” Luo Lin sensed that he could expand it even further.
But just like before, if he tried, his aura would become too thin to qualify as a true En.
“Next…”
Luo Lin shifted his thoughts, and the En, which had expanded to an 80-meter radius, quickly retracted, wrapping around him again in less than a second.
However, this time, instead of distributing evenly, all of his aura concentrated in his fist.
“Ko!”
“And now… Ryu.”
The immense aura gathered in Luo Lin’s hand began flowing, spreading across his entire body before being directed into the ground beneath him.
“Shu!”
The aura enhanced the ground under his feet.
Although he didn’t have a tool to reinforce, just reinforcing the ground he stood on was even more impressive.
“And finally… In!”
As soon as Luo Lin spoke, the aura that had been coating the ground instantly vanished from Biscuit’s view.
However, Biscuit could still sense that the ground beneath them remained enhanced.
“This is… ” Biscuit muttered, utterly at a loss for words.
The seamless and rapid transitions between Nen techniques… When had she been able to do this?
Was it when she was 34? Or 35? She couldn’t remember.
“Very well, I have a good grasp of your abilities now. I’ll go adjust your training plan, and you can prepare lunch.” Biscuit said, heading toward her tent.
She needed some quiet time to reflect.
Ten days… In just ten days, someone had caught up to her Nen training, which took her more than ten years to achieve. If she didn’t take a moment to adjust her mindset, she might just break down.
A training plan?
At his level, what more could a training plan offer? Just let him fight freely.
Luo Lin watched Biscuit leave, slightly bewildered.
“She just left like that? Without asking what had happened?”
He had already come up with an excuse to explain himself, but it seemed he wouldn’t need it after all.
“Is she avoiding me?” Luo Lin thought, guessing at Biscuit’s intentions, though he wasn’t entirely sure.
That afternoon, after lunch.
“Today’s afternoon training will still be combat, but this time, we’ll be using Nen abilities!” Biscuit said seriously to Luo Lin.
“Nen combat? Then what about the morning sparring?” Luo Lin asked, confused.
Every morning, his training consisted of sparring with Nen.
Sparring, not fighting—in other words, there were no martial arts or winners and losers, just practice in Nen energy exchange.
“It’s canceled,”
Biscuit said, wagging her finger. “From now on, the morning training will focus on practicing Nen systems.”
“And at night, your vigilance training is complete. You can now spend your evenings figuring out your Specialization-type ability and find out what it is as soon as possible.”
“9!”
Luo Lin blinked, taking a moment to realize what Biscuit had said.
“Too slow—1,000 push-ups!” Biscuit ordered immediately.
“Damn it!” Luo Lin gritted his teeth and dropped to the ground to do push-ups.
He hadn’t expected Biscuit to launch a surprise attack so suddenly.
“Even if you’ve suddenly gotten stronger, you can’t afford to let your guard down,” Biscuit said smugly.
“Yes, ma’am!”
Luo Lin shouted, speeding through his push-ups.
Since working out also gave him experience, Luo Lin always treated these punishments as a bonus.
