DC: I'm The Ultimate Lifeform

Chapter 9: Chapter 9

Chapter 9

"I'm Lex Luthor, I'm one of the people who worked on bringing you to life." The bold man said, causing me to pause while looking at him, my eyes filled with curiosity. I would of course welcome them inside, I wanted to know how I was created.

"So, how was I created? From the looks of things, I carry the genetics of a Saiyan and Doomsday." I said calmly. I wasn't going to hide, fear was a chain I was unwilling to remotely

come near me.

"Yes, it seems so. That was something that wasn't planned for." Lex said while taking a seat, with what I guess to be his bodyguard standing behind him, closely eyeing me. I sat down, and looked at him, waiting for him to speak.

"We collected DNA from just about everyone, Superman, Doomsday, Wonder Woman, The Martian, and aliens that reach far beyond our solar system. When creating you, we were simply trying to put together the perfect life form. We were reaching too far, not knowing our own limits... yet against all odds, Doomsday powers kicked in, adapting and evolving all while mutating into what you are here. We tried to recreate you, we tried everything, but it's more like something took over that body." Lex said lightly, to which I raised an eyebrow at that last point... this guy was a super genius.

"I guess it would explain this," I said while holding out my palm, calling for my hairpin, which quickly grew into a golden staff that interested Lex greatly.

"So, what do you want with me?" I asked calmly,

"I wanted to invite you to The Light. The mission of The Light is the betterment of humanity, for this reason, we are against beings like Superman." Lex said to which I raised an eyebrow.

"That's dumb. Would the human race exist without Superman? Be it doomsday, Darkseid, and the other existence that made their move on Earth, Superman and the other members of the Justice League saved this planet. To foolishly ignore such a fact, shows you're letting your ego control you... I wonder if you're walking down a path to be the second Hitler." I said calmly, a slice of pizza floating into my hands. I sat back, one leg crossed over the other while looking at the bold guy.

"I'm not ignoring Superman's deeds, humans are still developing, and without him, we might have been destroyed long ago. But should humans keep relying on him?" Lex asked, clearly my words had bugged him.

"I see... still foolish. What I'm hearing is that humans are best, so let's backstab the guy who put his own life to protect us, to face off against beings that have lived for thousands of years, and cross our fingers so that humans can grow fast enough to not be destroyed." I said with a look of disdain

"I would support the plan, but your ego is too big. You targeted Superman personly, you seem to hold some type of grudge against him. So your motive for humanity is nothing more than a lie you tell yourself, trying to justify your actions to kill your knight in shining armor." I said making Lex's eyes turn cold, although his face remained calm.

"Do you even believe that humans are the superior race? Or do you think you stand above all humans, and you should be at the very peak? You're a genius, so you're cocky. You're a genius, so you look down upon everyone else. But am I, not the perfect life form? I'm smarter than you, I'm millions of times stronger than Superman, I'm faster than the Flash, I'm more skilled than Batman in combat, I'm a stronger mage or whatever than Zatara and Zatanna combined... tell me, what is your ego before me?" I asked with a smirk, leaving Lex Luthor struggling to keep his cool.

"Anything you can do, I can do but better. You stand there before me with that ego because I have no interest in showing off to the world. You stand here with that ego because I have no interest in proving anything to an ant. For someone so smart, I'm sure you have seen me jump to heaven, and also open a gate to hell. Are you so dumb that you ignore the existence of such places? Are you going to ensure you would never die?" I asked with a cold smirk,

"I'm confused, what do you have that makes you so arrogant? Me? As you said, you had no power in my creation. Defeating Superman? Why is he flying around? The guy has been holding back for years, he too holds the power to destroy this planet hundreds of times over. But he puts mental limits on himself. So, Superman had been toying with you. Embarrassing, the guy doesn't kill. I'm sure you kill. So, to be fighting to kill, and the guy fights while holding back, not to kill, and you the peak human go all out and still lose?" I asked finding this all just too funny,

"You are a joke. If members of the Light are remotely like you... well, then I would refuse. Leave my apartment, thanks for the joke. Go play your little game for the Justice League, get captured, be free, and the list goes on. Smart my ass." I said with a laugh, enraging Lex Luthor to the limit.

He stood up, about to lash out, but my tail flashed, about to slap him across the face... but at a shocking speed, his bodyguard moved, pulling out two swords, and blocking my tail.

"No wonder I sensed danger," I said while looking at the blades with a raised eyebrow, a sword that matches whatever it faces, and doubles it. It was a shocking sight, for this Blade meant it would make him stronger than me... but to what limit?

"Deathstroke, Kill him," Lex said coldly, to which I caused

"Then let's fight elsewhere, I wish not to destroy my apartment," I said with a shrug while opening a portal. I ignored them and entered the portal with Deathstroke following after me, the power of the blades flowing through his veins.

"Well... let's dance," I said with a smirk, Deathstroke eyes narrowed before he burst towards me at the speed of light... No, it wasn't at the speed of light. He seemed to be manipulating space-time without knowing. The speed of light was something that something with mass couldn't reach unless it had infinite energy. Even sand, moving at the speed of light would be considered universal,

'This level of power...' Deathstroke thought, shocked by the power flowing through him. I wasted no time, entering the form which I called the True Saiyan state, and burst forward, clashing with the sword. That punch was my full power, but it was all focused not on destroying the land around me, but on my target. Deathstroke heart skipped a beat feeling the power pumped into him... as a mortal, he couldn't handle so much power, it was slowly killing him.

Deathstroke blocked my blow and sent a blade stabbing toward my chest, but I blocked it with my staff, although I was sent flying back since Deathstroke was physically stronger than me at

the moment.

I shot forward, trying to use pure martial arts to cross that gap in power. I began growing, so what if you would be twice as strong no matter what? I will simply improve my martial arts so that that power gap is meaningless... yes, I could just adapt, but that was too boring. Yes, I could purely focus on growing faster than the sword could handle, again that's boring... My Saiyan bloodline refused to let go of this good fight.

'His martial arts grew by so fast?' Deathstroke thought seeing how my martial arts reached a point where the gap in strength was not noticeable anymore. One should know, that Deathstroke although not the number one martial art, was among the top 5 best Martial artists in this world. One could imagine his shock at seeing my martial arts which transcended

his imagination.

'and His power level just keeps growing, every second he grows twice as strong.' Deathstroke thought in shock. Of course, at the speed he was moving, the normal person 1 second would feel like years. The world around us was moving in slow motion, so one second to us wasn't the same as 1 second when we were not moving at this high level of speed. "Just what are you!" Deathstroke said with slight uneasiness seeing my grin. How couldn't I grin when at the low rate I was growing, was too much for the sword to keep up, leading to him breaking down from the inside out? His recovery capability couldn't handle the damage he was suffering. The sword was able to keep up with my growth before, but it had its limits. "Haha!" I laughed at Deathstroke's words before I just stopped moving. Deathstroke stabbed towards my chest... but the moment his sword hit me... sparks flew across the air, the sword unable to injure me.

"I adapted to the sword long ago," I said while Deathstroke's power dropped back to normal as if he were facing a normal human. Deathstroke eyes widened in shock, not understanding

what happened.

"Shocked? What I did was simple, I adapted and became immune to others adapting or

copying me. The sword is trying to adapt to my power, but all it sees is a normal human. But thanks for the power-up, now I could just destroy this whole universe with a snap of the finger." I said while holding my palm before Deathstroke's face, and a green orb gathering

before my palm.

"..." Deathstroke closed his eyes, what was a better way to go out than through such an amazing battle... death never came, he opened his eyes in confusion and only saw my mocking

smirk.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"You thought I would give you the perfect ending? No, I will instead take away your immortality, and leave you to grow old and die of old age." I said while turning to leave, leaving Deathstroke eyes wide.

"No!" Deathstroke roared sensing how his recovery speed had dropped. He jumped towards me, wanting to get me to attack him, but I laughed mockingly while floating into the sky,

before bursting back home.

Deathstroke roared at the sky, unwilling to accept this. For someone like him, aging to death

was something he didn't want. What he had was immortality thanks to his recovery speed which made him pretty much immortal. But with it gone, he would start aging and soon would be too old to fight... a fate worse than a slow painful death for him.
