Chapter 538: Chapter 543: He’s All I can Think About 1
Beiming Han abruptly got up from Gu Qingxin, moving to sit on a nearby couch. With the sudden absence of his warmth, Gu Qingxin shivered slightly from the cold.
She quickly pulled down her skirt and sat up, asking, “What’s wrong?”
She followed his gaze to his phone, but the screen had already turned black.
Beiming Han turned to her, gently pushing back her messy hair behind her ears, and touched her face, “I have to go out for a bit. You should get some rest.”
He zipped up his pants and stood, fastening his belt.
“Is it an emergency?” Gu Qingxin couldn’t help but blurt out, a sudden tightening in her chest.
“Yes! Take a hot shower. For the time being, you should stay here. I’ll have Aunt Zhou bring your things.” With that, Beiming Han picked up the jacket that had fallen to the ground and strode away.
Gu Qingxin stayed dumbfounded, did Beiming Han just imply that she shouldn’t return to North Garden?
Feeling drained, she laid back down on the couch, staring blankly at the ceiling…
The next day, when Gu Qingxin woke up, she heard noises outside. When she got out of bed and left the room, she saw Aunt Zhou preparing breakfast in the kitchen.
“Good morning, Aunt Zhou.” Gu Qingxin hadn’t slept well the night before, and it showed on her face.
“Miss, good morning. Today’s breakfast is Chinese style with millet porridge and steamed dumplings.” Aunt Zhou said cheerfully.
“Thank you, Aunt Zhou.” Gu Qingxin went back to her room to freshen up.
“Miss, are you okay? You seem a bit off.” Aunt Zhou noticed Gu Qingxin’s weary look and grew worried.
“No, I just didn’t sleep well last night. I’m not used to sleeping in a new place…” Gu Qingxin muttered.
“Oh, don’t worry. You’ll be back at North Garden soon.”
“Aunt Zhou, what do you mean by that?” Gu Qingxin detected a hidden meaning in her words.
“Uh, nothing, I’ll go prepare breakfast.” Aunt Zhou, evading the question, went back into the kitchen.
The bathroom door was suddenly pushed open. Gu Qingxin, assuming it was Aunt Zhou, turned to see Beiming Han walk in and lift her into his arms.
“Hey, what are you doing?!” Gu Qingxin struggled and pounded on his back.
“Finishing what we didn’t finish yesterday!” He tossed her on the bed.
“Wait, Aunt Zhou is still outside making breakfast!” Gu Qingxin pushed him away; they couldn’t just laze around in the room like this, could they?
“I sent her home.” Beiming Han silenced her with a kiss.
He had been stopped right at the crucial moment yesterday, which had nearly killed him throughout the night.
He thought, if he could just go outside and feel the cool air for a while, his lust would settle down.
But he was so wrong. The whole night was torture…
Gu Qingxin suddenly pushed him away again.
“What now?” Beiming Han captured her hands and pinned them over her head.
“You smell like a woman!” Gu Qingxin crinkled her nose and turned away.
Beiming Han, “…”
“Go take a shower!” Gu Qingxin tried to pull her hands away.
“We will shower together once we’re done. Behave!” Beiming Han silenced her protests with another kiss.
“Baobei, you’re so sweet…”
Gu Qingxin was so tired she could hardly move, curling up in his arms like a kitten.
Even though one round was agreed upon, Beiming Han continued for the entire morning…
He cradled her in his arms, their fingers intertwined. He was missing her so badly he felt like he was going mad.
