Chapter 550 Reality
Chapter 550: Reality
Charles stepped forward, arrived closer to Fate Professor, and calmly looked at him.
He had long woken up from the strange frozen state but decided to wait in the Ice.
Meanwhile, Professor showed a surprised look on his face and was about to stop the chanting but stopped doing so.
At that moment, he heard a calm voice in his head.
'Go on. Break the 'Time Loop' spell.' Charles folded his arms as he said those words, remained standing in the same place and started observing his every action.
He also memorized every verse that Professor was uttering and even copied the array circle that appeared under his feet!
For him, this 'Time-Loop' breaking array circle was also a treasure!
What would happen if he entered the 'Time Loop' spell next time and didn't know how to break it?
Although he could grow more powerful in the next 1,000 years, he wasn't sure of his progression in the Future Time Ability.
He doesn't want to miss this opportunity.
As for surviving this current ordeal, he already had some plans in his mind.
'Moreover, staying in this 'Time-Loop' spell is no longer safer.'
Charles knew that the longer he stayed under the 'Time Loop' spell, the more Fate Professor would learn about him and his background.
He didn't want that.
'Professor still has no idea about my true identity yet.'
Moreover, Elder Seer sent a memory cloud to his Inner World earlier and informed him to look for someone named 'Arayn' in the Miracle City.
But what startled Charles was that Elder Seer mentioned in the memory that only she had the power to save this city!
'The mysterious [Secret Witch]?' He raised his eyebrows and decided to check it for himself later.
For now, what he had to do now was to carefully play his cards and outsmart Professor in the real world.
On the other hand, Professor continued to recite the incantation for the next 20 minutes and finally ended the chanting.
A golden light came out of the mysterious array circle and spread in all directions.
Before Charles could blink, the golden light enveloped his body and turned him into pure gold particles.
…
A second later, Charles woke up in the Airship and let out a loud gasp.
Simultaneously, he received minute details about the things that happened in every loop and soon engraved them into the depths of his Inner World.
'As I thought, each loop is a fixed timeline. That's why I and others always acted like NPC characters in the first few visions. If not for the strange mutation that happened in my left eye, I might have gotten stuck in the 'Time-Loop' spell forever... No, Professor would've caught me again and learned more about me.'
At that moment, he saw a row of red notifications that appeared before his eyes and curled his lips upward.
…
[Warning! Warning! Warning!]
[Foreign Force is detected!]
[Error! Error! Error!....]
['Time-Loop' spell has been interrupted!]
…
'Finally!' Charles showed a pleased smile and nodded.
'Although I didn't want this spell to end sooner, I've no choice but to trust my wits now.' He muttered to himself, shifted his attention towards his left eye, and tried to move the Wisdom Essence to his right eye.
After a short delay, he managed to succeed and closed both eyes.
At that moment, a strange mutation also began in both eyes.
He remained calm for the next two minutes and finally opened his eyes. Just like before, his left eye turned into crystalline whitish color, while the right one turned into eerie blue color.
'Excellent.' A smile crept on his face.
He then quietly glanced around and searched if anyone in the Airship had a communication bracelet.
Thankfully, the guy sitting in the left side seat had one, and he seemed to be in the middle of deep sleep!
Charles extended his hand, released an invisible string, let it move towards the guy, and encircled the communication bracelet using it.
After that, he turned the bracelet invisible, stealthily removed it from his hand, and pulled it in his direction.
A second later, he casually raised his hand, caught the invisible bracelet, and wore it in his hand.
The next instant, a golden bracelet appeared in his right hand.
'Good.' Charles nodded inwardly, let his 'Wisdom Power' seep into the artifact, and soon linked his mind with the communication artifact.
A row of secret rune characters appeared in his mind in a blink, along with names.
But instead of checking them, Charles used his thoughts, dismissed them, and started writing a series of rune characters in his mind.
Then, he also thought of Jessie's name in Runal Language and activated it.
A few seconds later, a clanging sound came from the other side, followed by a female voice.
"Vana. Who is this?"
'Vana? Is it a 'Greeting word'?' Charles furrowed his brows and hurriedly spoke.
"This is Charles Nightwind. I've important news to tell you."
"Charles?! Did you reach the Airport already, Mister? Wait. I'll be there in five minutes." Jessie's voice came from the other side. From her tone, it was clear that she was panicking inside.
"Don't. Tell Oliver to park your carriage near the Golden Blanket Restaurant and wait there. I'll come on my own." Charles said in a calm tone.
"Oliver?! How did you know his name-?" Before she could ask more questions, he cut off the communication, removed the bracelet from his hand, and quietly placed it inside the original owner's pocket.
Then, he touched his space ring, searched for something, and soon took a fist-sized blue crystalline ball from it.
It was a regular crystal ball made of Sapphire.
He casually held it in his hand, analyzed it quietly, guessed its exact weight, and put it in his coat. After that, he leaned toward the side window and looked at the gigantic city.
As the Airship entered the range of the Defensive Array System, it slowed down its speed, moved closer to the floating city, and soon descended towards the city's northern direction.
At that moment, two crew members also told everyone to fasten their seatbelts and announced about landing.
For Charles, everything appeared repetitive.
The Airship soon landed next to a half-egg-shaped building, and its propellers also slowed down. At that moment, the blue flames spewing out from the propellers also quietened down and disappeared.
Meanwhile, Charles undid his seatbelt, adjusted his bowler's hat, and stood up before joining the long queue.
But just as he took a few steps, he suddenly halted his footsteps and furrowed as he saw a change in his left eye.
'They are already here?'
He hurriedly moved towards the left-side glass window, looked outside, and soon saw quite a few black-armored security guards standing outside.
He even saw a familiar face among those security guards and turned gloomy.
'How did John come here so fast? It seems Professor is planning on cornering me from the beginning itself.' He looked around grimly, returned to the queue, and followed other passengers.
