Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Test Area,

Cory was shocked. The foreigner named Ethan didn't have to lie to her. If anything goes wrong, he may end up dead soon. In her opinion, he will not wager on his life.

"Okay, I believe in you. You have passed the test. Nobody had identified the items except for you. You will be working for our Purple Chamber of Commerce as an employee going forward," she smiled.

When I heard that, a tiny smile appeared on my face.

"But what about the pay?" I asked.

"Miss, you are being hasty?" Suddenly, the Butler spoke up.

A hint of displeasure flashes in my eyes. I don't know why? From the beginning the Butler is against me.

Cory ignored Butler and replied,"Your Salary is 1000 Mid Grade Mana Stones per month. The Salary may increase depending on your performance in future."

"Thanks," I replied.

"You can leave now. You can report it to the Administrative Building starting tomorrow," she stated.

I nodded my head at her before leaving.

Butler's heart was raging. His future plans were all ruined by the foreigner. Furthermore, he offended a number of his acquaintances as a result of this.

A sinister intention appeared in his eyes.

Cory suddenly thought of something before saying,"Old man Joe, I don't want anything bad to happen to him."

"Miss, this...," He hesitated before finally nodding his head.

But he has some other plans in his heart.

Cory Anderson left the place. She thinks that upcoming days in the Purple City won't be boring. She kept the shining white half piece of soul ball in her hand.

Even if it's a half piece, she knows the real worth of it.

Meanwhile,

I visited the staff again at the administration building. He seems to be aware of my appointment.

"You have surprised everyone out there. Even those old guys have failed the test,"he said.

"But be careful of your surroundings," He added.

"I will," I replied.

Then I asked about the appointment certificate and ID card. With that I can walk sideways in the Purple City.

"It will take some time, I will give you tomorrow," The staff said.

After speaking for a few minutes, I ended the conversation before leaving.

On my way back, I found malicious gazes. This time there were a lot. But no one seems to be in a hurry to confront me.

My eyes turned cold.

"I'm still not sure about the attitude of Cory. She seems to be good. But people around her are not. Before taking any action, I should confirm her attitude," I said in my heart.

Soon, I reached the inn.

"How was your test?" The inn owner asked.

"It went well. I got the job. I will start the work from next day onwards," I answered him.

But I have a feeling that the inn owner was a mole as well. So I didn't show any doubtful reaction.

I went back to my room after that.

Time passed,

After noon time, the old man Joe instructed the goons of the business families to trouble the new foreigner Ethan. The Butler wants the foreigner to flee from the Purple City.

His heart wants him dead. But the Young Miss had warned him. If the foreigner is found dead, then he will face the full wrath of her. So he can only try other ways.

When the goons received the order. They were excited. It's rare for higher ups to give them an order. They were usually afraid of them.

Now they have asked me to complete a task. Which means they were recognized indirectly and can be used by higher ups in the future.

These goons work under the families. The person who received the order didn't inform the families. Rather he has decided to complete the task silently.

Otherwise, those legitimate heirs will steal his credit. His name was Vince. He is over 200 years old but he still looks middle aged because of his Magic Strength. His current magic power is level-7.

He had no potential to move forward. His talent has reached a limit. His body has hidden injuries. Because of it, he was reduced to being a simple gang leader.

After arriving at the gang base, which is an old garage. He summoned his team members. There are more than a hundred people in his gang.

Their everyday job is to collect money from the people. Which includes stealing, bullying, oppression, arson and killings.

The gang members have varied strength. Their lowest member is level-5 Wizard. Anywhere down below the level is not useful for the gang.

Because even the simplest of the local residents have strength of level-4 and level-5 Wizard. Only a high level Wizard can make people afraid here in the purple city.

The Garage can be found behind a deserted street. This road is rarely used by people. Over time, the entire area has been turned over to the gang members' personal domain.

There are other gangs in the city besides Vince's. However, they work mostly as escorts outside of cities. Vince therefore has no competition at the moment.

Not long after,

One by one, the Gang members began to show up. once there were more than 80 people counted. Vince glanced at each of them.

Observing that every significant and influential member has arrived. He made up his mind to talk.

"Each and every one, listen!"

Vince stated, "A high level member of the Purple Chamber of Commerce gave me an important task."

A gasp!!

Everybody gasped in surprise. These people felt unreal. They are doing the work for the business families. However, they had not directly contributed to the Purple Chamber of Commerce.

Considering that the business families are employed by the Purple Chamber of Commerce. That is what they do. But after hearing their leader speak, everyone was completely taken aback.

Vince noticed the uncertainty and perplexity in everyone's gaze.

"I am telling the truth. I do not wish to disclose the elder's name. He wanted us to finish the task, not the families. You guys will understand when you hear about the task," Vince remarked.
