Chapter 164 Ella Takes Charge!
Kyle returned home and to his utmost surprise, noticed that Jane had already picked out the clothes she wanted him to wear on his hangout with Ella.
He didn't know how to react to this but the gesture was appreciated.
Kyle noticed what she had laid out and was impressed by her sense of fashion but it was partly due to Jane having more information than Kyle, himself, was given.
Kyle smiled at her before reaching for the bed and getting a closer look.
"This is pretty nice," Kyle complimented her.
"You like it?" Jane's face lit up and Kyle nodded to confirm it.
She had a unique sense of fashion because there was no way that Kyle would have thought of wearing this.
It was a simple, loose shirt covered in sunflowers, something one would wear on a beach, but the trousers were black.
It was a corporate trouser, Kyle knew he could tuck it in to give himself a dazzling look.
"You know where she's taking me, don't you?" Kyle read between the lines.
Jane couldn't hide her excitement, she knew that she would ruin the surprise if she split.
"I'm not telling…" Jane told him right away; not willing to divulge the information given to her.
"You know… I have ways of making you talk," Kyle said, leaning in but Jane managed to back away at the last second.
"S-Stop," Jane's voice trembled because she hadn't had sex with Kyle ever since she lost her virginity and her body craved him more than she knew.
The moment she was close to him, she could hear a heartbeat develop between her legs.
She couldn't wrap her around it but it made it hard to concentrate around him.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"You don't want me to, do you?" Kyle asked but Jane was speechless.
She had to get out of that situation or she would lose her willpower to resist this temptation.
Kyle watched Jane run out of the room like she had run into a serial killer.
He shook his head with a smile but liked that he was part of their little friend group.
Moreover, it took a special kind of bond to trust each other this much.
It wasn't common for a friend to try and sneak her friend by presenting herself as a potential replacement.
Kyle was in the top 1% so it wouldn't be strange if that was enough to get friends to turn on one another.
Jane and Ella were different, they looked after each other and respected the boundaries that came with a relationship.
Ella already tested Kyle when they first met even though the only reason Kyle could pass was because he knew what she was doing.
If Aiysha was to do something like that, there was no way he wouldn't give in to the temptation.
Kyle wasn't a god, he was just a man when it came to it and under the right conditions, he would betray himself.
Kyle got up for his little hangout and realized how good he looked but also wondered if this was too much.
It would be awkward if he overdressed but despite Ella and Jane seemingly having a transparent relationship.
Kyle realized that Ella never informed Jane about the first message she had sent to him.
Was she as transparent as he thought or did she only tell her first because there was a chance she would hear it from somewhere else?
Jane was too excited, her 'boyfriend' and best friend were getting along, and this was the first time that Ella approved of the person she had shown interest in.
Kyle was like a man that the universe created specifically for her and there was no way she was going to let that be in vain.
She kissed Kyle before waving him goodbye.
"Why is she so excited?" Kyle thought to himself but knew it was Jane.
There was no need to overthink it because it certainly wasn't malicious.
He got down and to his surprise, there was a limousine waiting outside for him.
Kyle raised a brow because he wasn't sure if it was for him but the timing was too perfect.
"Are you getting in or are you waiting for me to hold the door open for you?" Ella's voice echoed within.
A smile creased Kyle's face. She was truly taking control of this little date she had planned.
Kyle planned to enjoy every moment of it because he knew this moment wouldn't happen again.
"What kind of lady lets a man open his door?" Kyle responded with an exaggerated posture.
There was something about a man being playful that made it easier for people to connect with him, this includes people well advanced in age.
Ella opened the door for Kyle but Kyle didn't move, the way they interacted made it look like they had been friends forever.
This was the skill that Kyle acquired after years of working in customer care, he learned how to interact with people as well as what they responded to.
Ella stepped out of the car and Kyle's playful smile soon changed into one of utter surprise.
She had on a skirt that hung right above her knees, revealing the tattoo up her thigh.
The blouse she had was both simple yet elegant, she certainly didn't make any attempt at concealing her cleavage.
It hung out for all to see, more accurately for him to see, Kyle expected her to dress a lot more reserved considering the nature of their relationship.
"Are you okay?" Ella asked but Kyle quickly pushed this thought off his head.
"I'm good… But you certainly look better," Kyle complimented her.
"You don't look too shabby yourself," Ella responded without hesitation.
"Now get in! We have a lot to do tonight," Ella barked at him.
The tone she used to talk to him when they first met; now took a drastic turn.
"A woman that can take charge? Did someone turn on the furnace or-!" Before Kyle could complete his sentence, Ella shoved him from behind and into the car with both laughing
