Her Husband is My Lover

"Hahaha..." Valentina laughed out loud in Xavier's arms.

"Don't laugh... It was the most embarrassing thing ever... You bully a lot!" Xavier said making Valentina laugh out loud.

"I only love to bully you!" Valentina replied as she can laugh out loud in his arms.

Xavier and Valentina are sitting on the patio. Where... Xavier sat down on the floor while Valentina sat between in his legs and her back is towards Xavier.

"Yeah... I guess, the whole School laughed at me that day!" Xavier replied making Valentina look up at him.

"They did..." Valentina said as she laughed out loud.

"Come on, Don't laugh anymore... You colored my hair green and you behaved as if you are innocent. Huh?" Xavier asked and Valentina laughed.

"Well... What can I say? The Great Xavier Avalanzo used to bully others and I want to show the same taste to you!" Valentina answered making Xavier look up at her.

"Seriously? I don't bully much though!" Xavier said.

"Yeah... You don't! Your bullies decreased when I showed you the same taste of your bully to you!" Valentina replied as she laughed out loud and just then, Her phone went off... Valentina grabbed the phone that is on the table and looked at the caller id.

"Mom..." Valentina said and answered the call as Xavier nodded his head.

"Hey, mom... I am sorry... I forget to inform you that I am staying over at my place tonight!" Valentina said as soon a she answered the call.

"Ohh... Yeah... Tania informed me... But Why love? Is there any problem to stay over here?" Amelia asked.

"Ahh... No, mom... I am just wrapping up few things here... So, I can stay there from tomorrow... And I needed a alone time too... So..." Valentia answered. 

"Ohh... It's alright, Valentina... I can understand..." Amelia said.

"Thank you for understanding, Mom..." Valentina replied.

"No worries, Love... I was just scared thinking that why about what happened that you didn't come here and went to your home... You can go to your home whenever you need space... Just inform me beforehand. So, I can be at peace..." Amelia said and a small smile spreads on Valentina's face.

And seeing that smile, Xavier smiled.

"Yes, Mom..." Valentina replied.

"Did you had your dinner?" Amelia asked.

"Yes... Just now... You?" Valentina asked. 

"Yes..." Amelia answered.

"Good." Valentina replied.

"Hope your day was good, love." Amelia said

"Umm... Yeah... It was!" Valentina replied.

"Huh? You don't sound as if it's good... Is there any problem?" Amelia asked.

"Umm... No, Mom... It's just the day was so stressful!" Valentina answered.

"Ahhh... Take care, Love... Go to bed early then! You must be tired!" Amelia said.

"Yes, Mom... You too... Take care!" Valentina replied.

"Yeah, Sweetie... Good night. See you." Amelia said.

"Good night, See you, Mom." Valentina replied and ended the call.

She kept back her phone on the table and saw that Xavier is looking at her with a bright smile.

"What?" Valentina asked as she moved close to Xavier's warm chest and he wrapped his arms around her and bought her even more close to his body by keeping his head on her shoulder. 

"You became so comfortable with your Mom so soon." Xavier said making Valentina smile.

"Well... I am still not at all comfortable. But yeah... I am trying to be comfortable as much as I can." Valentina replied.

"I am really so happy, Val... Thank you so much for giving her a chance... She really deserves it!" Xavier said.

"Ummm... Yeah..." Valentina replied.

"Val... Give your best... Don't think about the past... It's not at all good to think about it... I know, it's hard to control yourself by not thinking about your past... It's all your dad's fault... It's not your mother's... He used to hate you but not your mom... She always wanted you to be happy. She is just scared that, if she takes you near then your father might harm you in any way... She is right at her point of view..." Xavier said and Valentina nodded her head.

"But you know, Xavier... I wanted both's love... My mother's and fathers... I wanted his love... Even though if he doesn't love me... I still do love him... Because he is my father... Even though, he used to hurt me a lot... I still love him... As you said, my mother thought that my father might harm me in any way... If she took me near... But you know what, I feel grateful that he still kept me in his house and gave me a room and food to live... He even used to give me good clothes to wear... And made me study... Gave me a good education... He did everything... For my goodness... I don't know if he realized that he gave me all these or not... Even though, he gave me all these because of his status and prestige... He still gave me these things... If not him not giving me anything and left me in an orphanage as a girl who he found on the streets... Then I wouldn't be here today... I wouldn't have been looking after his companies today... Unknowingly, he gave me everything..." Valentina said as tears rolled in her eyes and Xavier gulped down his saliva. 

"I am really thankful for him... As a father, he did his responsibility... And as a daughter... I think, I am giving back the responsibilities he wished from his son... But my mom... Never tried to do anything like this... Still, I forgive her... You know why, I don't want her to left off... She is lonely... All these years... I just wanted to be a support to her right now... It doesn't matter to me... If she really loves me or not... Or she just acted in the past days... What matters to me right now is her happiness..." Valentina said and Xavier nodded his head.

"It was a shock to me... When I heard about his death... I was so shocked... I still don't know what happened to him... And how did it happen... I tried a lot to get to know about it... But I couldn't... I did my best... But still, there are no changes to get to know about him... And I just left it... Because the most important thing for me right now is to concentrate on my dad's companies rather than about his death... I just got to know that it's a hit-and-run case... I couldn't find out who is it... But... I just hope I find it out one day..." Valentina said and a sweat formed on Xavier's forehead. 

"I hope I am doing great with his companies and I hope to do more... And make his wishes come true that he wanted from his son... Hope he is proud of me..." Valentina said with a smile and looked up at Xavier.

And seeing him, Valentina frowned.

"Huh? What happened?" Valentina asked.

"Nothing... I am just... You know... Umm..." Xavier stuttered making Valentina frowned. 

"Xavier, is something wrong?" Valentina asked making Xavier frown.

"Huh?" Xavier asked.

"Umm... Nothing... I am just feeling hot suddenly... Well... Nevermind... I am alright..." Xavier said making Valentina frown and Xavier took her closely and buried his face in her neck.

"Yes... He must be so proud of you right now... You proved him that you are no less than a son he wished for... And I am proud of you too... You are a role model to many women out there... Going through all these and still standing on your legs is so hard... But you stood and showed the world what you are capable of... I am really so so proud of my girl!" Xavier said making Valentina giggle.

"Really?" Valentina asked with a smile and he nodded his head. 

"Yes, love... I am really so proud of you... You deserve this whole world... You are one of th strong women I know... You are doing so great!" Xavier said as he kissed her forehead and Valentina smiled as she hugged him.

Xavier hugged her tightly and closed her eyes as his heart is crying knowing how much she loves her dad.

They both talked for a few more minutes when Valentina's eyes started getting heavy and she drifts off to sleep in Xavier's arms. 

Xavier didn't disturb her and just kept staring at her peaceful sleeping face. 

After an hour, when he is sure that she drifted off to her sleep and don't wake up... He took her in his arms and walked inside. He walked upstairs to her room and laid her on the bed. He covered her with a comforter and kissed her forehead.

He took her hand in his and kissed her knuckles as he caressed her head.

"I am sorry... I will make everything alright soon... I am really sorry!" Xavier said as a tear falls down from his eyes and kept staring at her for a few minutes. 

"I love you..." Xavier said as he again kissed her forehead. 

He grabbed a paper from a table and wrote it down on the paper. 

"Good morning, love... You drifted off to sleep last night. So, I bought you up. So, you can sleep comfortably... I am sorry, I couldn't stay over for the night... I love you and have a great day ahead..." Xavier wrote it down on the paper and kept it on her bedside table. 

He caressed her hair for the last night and walked out of the room closing the door behind him.
