I play a Evil God in Otome Game

Chapter 114Lucifer(2/?)

As the monster's body turned to dust, Joseph watched in awe as Lucifer descended to the ground. He immediately tried to stand, staggering as he attempted to walk toward him.

"W-wait, Lucifer!" Joseph stammered as he saw Lucifer glance at him. That single look froze him in place, making him tremble. His heart raced like never before, and his body shook as he collapsed to the ground.

The shadows around Lucifer quivered, and even from this distance, his crimson eyes glowed fiercely. Joseph swallowed his words.

"Lucifer?" Jack frowned but said nothing, withdrawing the divine aura he had been using. As Joseph sighed in relief, he glanced curiously at the man who called himself Lucifer.

"Lucifer" was a fitting name to conceal his identity, and the idea of people believing Lucifer had saved them didn't bother Jack in the slightest.

He noticed Joseph struggling to his feet, clutching one of his legs as he hobbled closer. Jack wondered what he wanted. Joseph, grimacing in pain, clung to his aching leg as he approached Lucifer.

"Lucifer, please answer me... What was that monster?" Joseph asked hesitantly as he neared Lucifer. Jack gazed at him thoughtfully for a moment before speaking.

"The demons are rebelling," Jack lied smoothly. "They are no longer under my command and now seek to destroy the world."

Joseph's eyes widened, trembling with regret. He hesitated before asking another question, hope still lingering in his gaze. "But aren't you God's most powerful creation? They should be no match for you."

Jack smiled and began speaking with an idea forming in his mind. "If God were still in this universe, your words might hold meaning. But God has abandoned this world."

"W-what?" Joseph could only respond blankly. God—God was gone... All hope drained from Joseph's heart. With God gone, there was nothing left to hope for, no reason to believe in a brighter future.

"And what about the angels?" Joseph asked quietly, looking at the ground. Jack fell silent for a moment before replying calmly, "The angels care only for their own Heaven. They wouldn't lift a finger to help you; in fact, they'd likely rejoice in your extinction."

"I see," Joseph sighed, his eyes narrowing with anger. Despite his faith, it had all been for nothing. Clenching his fists, he now understood what humanity was truly up against.

They were alone, with no one to help them. The angels would only watch, and God was gone. Joseph sank to his knees.

He bowed before Jack and said in a deep voice, "Lucifer, I offer you my faith, my soul, even my entire life! Please, save us!"

Jack froze in shock, staring at the kneeling Joseph. A smile formed on his face as he gently placed a hand on Joseph's shoulder. "Humanity will receive my aid, but I expect gratitude in return. As for your faith, that's up to you—believe or don't believe."

Hearing Lucifer's words, Joseph bowed in gratitude and pledged his allegiance. He would aid Lucifer for the sake of humanity's future.

"I—"

Before Joseph could continue, his words were interrupted by the sudden arrival of a news helicopter. Dozens of journalists spilled out of nearby vehicles as news channels began broadcasting live.

With millions watching online, Jack frowned, realizing he needed to leave when the helicopter's cameras focused on him.

"Joseph, I will contact you later," Jack said as he spread his wings. In an instant, an illusion flared, emitting a bright light that obscured the cameras' view.

Joseph nodded quickly, understanding Lucifer's intent to leave. "As you wish."

Jack acknowledged him with a nod, then took flight, breaking the sound barrier in moments as he disappeared. When the illusion faded, all that remained was pure destruction.

The ruins of buildings were scattered across the area. Soldiers' bodies and limbs were strewn everywhere, and pools of blood painted the ground—a sight no human had ever witnessed before.

Meanwhile, hundreds of police officers swarmed the area, hastily evacuating reporters and journalists. Joseph was placed in an ambulance.

"Are you all right, Professor Joseph?" a police officer asked calmly. Joseph sighed. He didn't feel all right—especially with the heavy grief he carried over Henry's death.

"I-I'm fine," Joseph said, urging them to continue. The officer nodded. "Then I have a few questions for you."

"What happened here?" the officer asked seriously. Joseph replied quietly, "Henry—Henry fell into the dimensional rift. The monster took him over..."

The officer frowned, clearly skeptical, but in such chaos, anything seemed possible. "What kind of monster came out of this dimensional rift you mentioned?"

A bitter smile crossed Joseph's face. "A demon manipulated my mind and tricked me into touching the rift. My assistant Henry pushed me out of the way and fell into it himself."

The officer couldn't contain his frustration and snapped, "There's no way any of this is true. Please tell me what really happened."

"Believe what you want," Joseph said, resigned. He had no intention of arguing to convince anyone. The officer sighed but was interrupted by the arrival of a man in a suit.

"Thank you for your work, officer," Agent David said calmly, showing his credentials. "I'm here on behalf of the FBI as part of the investigative unit assigned to this case."

Agent David, a 35-year-old man with black hair, spoke with authority. The officer was momentarily surprised but nodded. "Understood. The investigation is yours, then."

Agent David confirmed, "Yes. Please continue clearing the reporters."

Without a word, the officer returned to his task. Agent David then turned to Joseph, fixing him with a serious gaze. "From now on, speak the truth. Understand that what you say is critical for the United States." Your journey continues on empire

"Even if I told you, you wouldn't believe me," Joseph said calmly. Agent David rejected that notion and responded firmly, "Satellite footage has already reached us, Professor. Your words will only strengthen the evidence."

Joseph stopped and then understood. It had been confirmed—there were indeed some satellite images of the events. That meant there was no longer an issue.

"Good. What I said earlier was true," Joseph said calmly, even seriously. "Please believe me. A Monster took over Henry and destroyed everything."

Agent David nodded calmly and asked another question. "So where did the Monster go?"

Joseph's eyes widened as if recalling the earlier events. He took a deep breath involuntarily and said, more seriously than ever: "It was destroyed."

"By whom?" Agent David asked without hesitation. Joseph explained, "By Lucifer..."

Agent David's eyes widened, and he looked at Joseph in shock. "But there was no one else there besides the Monster!"

A knowing smile spread across Joseph's lips. "Didn't you see the light?"

"Are you claiming that the person within that light was Lucifer?" Agent David asked skeptically. "Lucifer—the Devil of the three major religions, the King of Evil, the Lord of Lies—are you saying he saved you?"

"No," Joseph denied and said. As Agent David frowned, Joseph continued, "I am claiming he will save all of humanity."

Agent David remained silent for a moment. His gaze scanned Joseph, searching for any cracks in his words, but no matter how hard he looked, he found no falsehood.

It was strange. How could a man claim that the Devil had begun saving people? It should have been God or angels, not the Devil.

"Regardless, your words will be included in the report," David said calmly. Joseph nodded in agreement as David continued, "For now, we'll keep this hidden from the public. Please keep it a secret."

Joseph said nothing and stood up. David then added, "Now, please come with us to the bureau. A detailed investigation will be conducted there."

Joseph and David proceeded toward the vehicle under police escort, but the swarm of reporters was so intense that even the officers struggled.

"Mr. Joseph! Please answer! What happened there?"

"Mr. Joseph! Mr. Joseph!"

The reporters shouted and demanded answers. To David's surprise, Joseph stopped and began to speak. "Humanity is in danger!"

"Joseph, what are you doing?!" David whispered sharply. Joseph ignored him. "God has abandoned us, and Demons are invading! The angels are ignoring us—they even want to see our destruction!"

The reporters continued to bombard him with rapid questions. Joseph pressed on. "But under that bright light, Lucifer saved me! The Demons are no longer under his command and are using God's absence as an opportunity to destroy us!"

"Mr. Joseph! What is a dimensional rift?!" a young woman asked. Joseph looked at the young reporter and answered, "A dimensional rift is a tear into Hell itself. Whoever touches it has their mind and body taken over by Demons! As you saw, stay away from it!"

"The Demons are using an unknown method to open portals to our world! Once the dimensional rift grows, the Earth will be invaded! Not just these lands, but Africa, Europe, and Asia are also seeing these dimensional rifts!"

As the reporters tried to ask more questions, David grabbed Joseph's arm and pulled him away. He stepped forward and made a statement. "Please step back! This is now under FBI control! The rest is none of your concern!"

The reporters grew even more excited upon seeing the FBI's involvement, but the police began to act more forcefully, pushing them back and clearing a path for Joseph and David.

"What you did back there was reckless," David said calmly. "You could be charged for this."

"As long as people learn the truth, nothing else matters," Joseph said calmly as he got into the backseat of the car. David sighed and got into the driver's seat without another word.

"Your words are going to cause a lot of problems for you," David said as he started the car and began to drive. "Why did you do it?"

Joseph gazed out of the window, still indifferent. He stood firmly by what he had said. He wanted people to learn the truth as soon as possible, and he wouldn't change his mind.

"How long can you keep this hidden?" Joseph said calmly. "The state of the buildings, the claw marks on the soldiers' corpses, their mutilated remains—it's already obvious."

"Moreover, the supernatural light was seen by everyone," Joseph added calmly. "People had to know the truth. Otherwise, humanity would be in danger."

David frowned. "And it was Lucifer who told you this, wasn't it? The King of Lies."

"Even the King of Lies came here in person to save me," Joseph said seriously. "Something God did not do."

Now David remained silent, sighing deeply. "Well, soon enough, everything will come to light."

David then accelerated the car. "If what you say is true, then humanity will take the necessary precautions."

"I wish you could have seen what I saw. Then you'd agree with me," Joseph said wearily. David didn't feel the need to respond further, focusing on the road ahead.

Their destination was clear. They were traveling from Los Angeles to Washington. The dimensional rift had mysteriously closed. While not everyone knew what had occurred, the events were already the number one global topic on social media.

People were eager to learn more, but they didn't yet realize that dimensional rifts weren't just appearing in Los Angeles. Many other cities were about to witness them.

New York, London, Paris, Moscow, Rome, Berlin—major capitals were already showing traces of dimensional rifts.

The world was steadily marching toward an apocalypse...
