Maybe My Soulmate! (GL)

When the golden ball in Mo Yuxin's palm cracked open, a blinding light came from within which caused both Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing squint their eyes for a moment but before they could figure out what it was that caused this, they suddenly heard a very soft cry of a baby,

"Mama!!!!....

When they suddenly heard this voice, both Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing felt that maybe it was illusion. After all, in this trial, they were the only two people and nobody else should be here much less call out 'mama' in such a baby voice.

But when the blinding light receded, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing could finally see what it was that came out of this golden ball like egg.

And what they saw made them even more confused as there was actually a very small creature on the palm of Mo Yuxin's hand! This strange creatures was also glowing with a golden light making it hard to make out it's appearance.

This small creature was actually eating the golden shells of the egg and staring at them with its big wide eyes, exactly the same as a newborn baby!

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing looked at this creature at her palm and couldn't even think properly for a second before their attention was brought back by the same baby voice again,

"Mama!...

Right now, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing were sure that this strange creatures which was actually a terrifying black lightning just a few hours ago has now turned into this and is even calling them 'mama'??

It was only now that the golden glow around the strange creatures receded as it ate all the broken shells of the golden egg and it was still staring at Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing with its pair of round eyes.

And it was only now that Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing finally saw what this strange creatures looked like.

But when they carefully looked at it, it couldn't be called any sort of creature but more like a small human baby!

The only difference was the extremely small size which almost fits in the palm of Mo Yuxin's hand as well as the shiny long golden hair on its head!

What was even stranger was that the golden hair actually lets out a few sparks of lighting very often!

This small palm sized baby which was no longer than a newborn kitten was a marvel to behold. It's skin was as smooth as porcelain, a stark contrast to the wild Mane of golden hair which seemed to shimmer with a very faint yet ethereal glow.

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing could even see tiny lightning bolt shaped birthmark dancing around it's delicate feature which gave them a feeling of extremely destructive raw power. This feeling was the same as the feeling generated by a mass of black lightning striking from the heavens on a Cultivator who dares to go against the heaven and break through the limits of his/her own potential.

Her eyelids were like twin crescents of gold, fluttering ever so slightly, her irises were like a mesmerizing swirl of gold and lightning which seemed to hold a universe within.

Her eyes like pools of molten gold, met Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing's eyes. And in that moment, a silent understanding passed between them, a bond forged in the depths of their soul. The lightning bolts within the irises pulsed with an ethereal light, mirroring the storm raging within the newborn's heart. It was a look that spoke volumes, a look that held the promise of a future filled with both love and power.

It was also at this moment that Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing finally got a very strong sense of reality as the innocent and loving look in the eyes of this peculiar child made them face the reality of their current situation.

They Instinctively knew at this moment that they couldn't take this matter lightly.

Because the small palm sized baby infront of them held immeasurable power but that is not what made them feel a sense of responsibility.

It's the fact that this small innocent child which has just been born by a once in a lifetime miracle now regards Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing as her parents. As her most intimate yet the most trusting mothers.

Her sincere and innocent gaze speaks it's volume as she stares at them with boundless affection hidden beneath those golden eyes.

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing looked at each other and Mo Yuxin couldn't help but give her a very helpless laugh as the entire situation has gone far beyond their initial expectations.

Mo Yuxin at first, just wanted the black lightning because she wanted to nurture it and make it more powerful to keep it as a destructive weapon which would be nothing more than a simple tool.

But what appeared before them was not a weapon but a child that considers them as her mother.

Mo Yuxin couldn't treat her as a weapon, even more so because of the bond that was created between them.

Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing could feel this strange bond connecting their hearts to this small child and they Instinctively felt a very strange sense of maternal love.

But Mo Yuxin was even more awkward as her personality was inherently cold and she wouldn't melt even in the face of her cute little eyes staring at her with such naked affection.

She could only make a silent compromise and try to accept her but the next moment, Su Yubing suddenly stretched out her hand towards this small child.

Seeing that finally her mother was paying attention to her, this small child excitedly extended her small little arms towards Su Yubing but because of its extremely small size, it could only hold one of Su Yubing's fingers with her two little arms.

The small baby again called out in a low voice,

"Mama...!

Hearing her calling, Su Yubing wasn't as much surprised as before and it could even be said that she has accepted all these sudden turns of events even better than Mo Yuxin.

And she couldn't ignore the deep bond that was created between them.

And that's why, she responded to the small baby's call in a very gentle and motherly tone,

"What are you little one?"

After hearing her question, the small baby only tilted her little head as her long golden hair kept dangling behind her but she didn't seem to understand what it was trying to say and only said,

"Mama..?

Hearing the same call again, Su Yubing knew that even though it seemed to understand their words but infact, it was still a baby and couldn't even talk any more words other than the most primitive words of a child who wants to call for her mother.

Seeing that it seemed to only have the intelligence of a normal human infant, Su Yubing didn't ask it anymore but the next moment, she again said another word which brought back Su Yubing's attention.

"Thunder.....!!

Hearing the faint voice, Su Yubing felt a little confused at to why it suddenly said thunder but maybe it does make sense. After all, she was a black thunder before.

Seeing their interaction, Mo Yuxin only stood beside them just like before, holding the little one in her palm and not even moving an inch.

Her posture was extremely awkward but she was subconsciously gentle in holding the little one as if she would break her with the slightest touch.

Su Yubing saw her internal struggles and couldn't help but laugh which made Mo Yuxin even more aggrieved as she stared at Su Yubing with her round eyes which seemed more like that of a hurt puppy than a large dog.

Seeing her aggrieved eyes, Su Yubing felt soft in her heart and stretched out her hands to hold the little one in her hand and finally Mo Yuxin felt relieved as she stood beside Su Yubing and looked at the little one who was also staring at them.

She seemed a little confused as to how she suddenly changed position and could only look at Su Yubing with her round eyes as if asking her.

Su Yubing didn't say anything and only stretched out her other hand and rubbed the top of her golden hair with one of her fingers in a very gentle and soft manner.

Suddenly being rubbed on her head like this, the little one seemed a little surprised but quickly accepted it and even found a comfortable position in her hand to enjoy being rubbed like this.

She even half closed her eyes and her slightly dropping eyelids made it evident that she was actually sleepy!

And it didn't even take a minute before the little one fell asleep with a slight sound of constant breathing but her little mouth kept uttering the word 'mama' quite a few times before she completely fell asleep.

Seeing that the little one has fallen asleep, mo Yuxin and Su Yubing finally breathed a subconscious sigh of relief as if they had just done something great.

But, now they had a lot to talk about what to do next and... Should they .... Keep her.... Or not...?
