Chapter 210 Status Screen
After urging Smither Gary to begin the process of crafting the weapon, five hours had passed and Smither Gary informed Lei Zhen that the Magnoroid Core was wasted.
ραпdα nᴏνa| сom "Unfortunately, the Magnoroid Core did not have enough Magicule to withstand the hammering process." Smither Gary explained why the crafting failed.
Magnoroid Core was needed to extract its Magicule purity content to be placed upon the material to create a miracle.
A miracle that would change the structure of the material and allow multiple possibilities to occur.
Alas, such a miracle was not something you can just create on a whim and required a lot of time.
"Tsk, and here I thought we truly found the greatest blacksmith in the world. It was just a hoax all along." Lei Zhen clicked his tongue.
Although he had already imagined the process to fail, it was still a disappointment to him.
After all, why couldn't luck be on his side for once?
Shortly after, Lei Zhen regained his composure and then turned his attention toward Candice.
"Also, don't rely on the wind anymore, Candice. It cannot be trusted." He said solemnly.
"That's not true… the wind didn't inform me of anything." Candice tilted her head slightly.
"I just used the "wind" to give you some confidence, Master." She added, flashing a bright smile.
"..."
To think that it wasn't just Smither Gary who was fooled, but also him as well. As expected, women are still dangerous beings that could easily deceive men.
Sometime later, Smither Gary was urging them to leave his base already and to keep it a secret.
"If you manage to find the Magnoroid Cores, then you can come back here to find me. However, I do not wish to have any more new faces here." Smither Gary warned solemnly.
He was already being lenient in not doing anything to them and agreed to a blacksmithing request. If it was other people, then he might have silenced them to retain his hideout and serenity.
Lei Zhen nodded his head.
"Very well, I'll be back soon the moment I finish collecting those Magnoroid Cores." He said and turned around, ready to exit the base.
There was no point in lingering around further when he didn't have the necessary materials.
He had already asked Tang Qiaolian regarding the Mangoroid Core and that was because they were quite close.
As for Griselda, Lei Zhen didn't bother to ask considering how she had helped him set up the guild buildings and other stuff already.
"Let's go, Candice." He called her out when he realized she was still idling in the room.
Candice snapped out of her daze and quickly followed Lei Zhen.
Sometime later, the two of them exit the base without much hindrance.
"What should we do now, Master?" Candice asked in a confused tone. "Do we look for more Magnoroid Cores or another blacksmith?"
"Well, we'll start by hunting for some monsters since we're out here already. As for the rest, I'll think about it when we return to the Benestein hotel." Lei Zhen stretched his body and said calmly.
Although there might not be many results for this meeting, it could still be considered a success.
A blacksmith does not renege on their words, especially if they are from the dwarf species so all he needed right now was to gather enough Magnoroid Cores.
That was better than when he started in which he doesn't even know if Smither Gary would agree to take on his request.
"Understood, Master." Candice nodded her head.
Sometime later, the two of them headed toward the Inner Region of the wasteland field.
Upon stepping foot in the Inner Region, monsters started to appear and there would be other players hunting in some areas as well.
Just when Candice thought they were going to start hunting as well, she realized Lei Zhen was in a daze.
"Master?" She called out to him, only to receive zero response.
"Are you alright, Master?" She asked again, tugging on his sleeve slightly in an attempt to get his attention.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen swallowed some of his saliva as he smiled awkwardly at Candice.
When he killed Peter Heisen, he had gained a few levels, making him level 26 now and he thought that was enough to begin hunting.
Yet his brain was seemingly in the gutter when he realized the average monsters here were at least 50 and above.
To make things worse, he had just witnessed a party of four attempting to slay a monster, only to be eliminated by it through an "area of effect" skill.
That would normally not be a problem and should be considered the norm of RPG games since they would respawn anyway after their death.
However, Candice was an NPC, so wouldn't that mean she would die the moment they were eliminated?
'Damn it, did we just waste our time by coming here?' He wondered silently.
"Master, are we not going to begin hunting?" Candice's soft voice echoed through his ears.
"I've been too idle lately, and am ready to hunt at least a few hundred of them." She added.
"Huh? You're not afraid of these level 50s monsters?" Lei Zhen raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Why would I be afraid of these small fries?
"Small fry?"
"Mhmm, these monsters' levels are so low that they pose no danger to us, Master," Candice responded, her head tilting a bit sideways as she didn't understand what was the problem.
Lei Zhen pondered for a moment before asking something that he should have done a long time ago.
"Candice, by any chance, could you show me your status screen?" Lei Zhen asked.
NPC or players alike, both have status screens of themselves.
And of course, status screens to them are like their personal information in real life such as their identity card, passport, etc.
Thus, Lei Zhen was always hesitant to ask to see her status screen since there was never a reason to check.
Meanwhile, Candice didn't think hard like Lei Zhen and gladly revealed her status screen, only to cause Lei Zhen to nearly fumble to the ground.
