Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Spatial Attack

Chapter 9: Spatial Attack

At the same time, a sleek and stylish city woman crossed the street, entered a narrow alley, and finally stepped into a room. Inside, a man wearing a strange helmet stood by the window, gazing deeply at the bustling street.

"Erik, I've come across some new information. Both Stryker and Charles are searching for a mutant named Alex, but his mutant ability is only Level 1 energy absorption.

I suspect his mutant ability has undergone a secondary awakening, which is why he's caught their attention."

Magneto did not turn around; he continued to observe everything in front of him, especially the ordinary people without mutant abilities.

"Energy absorption... Raven, contact Alex immediately. We need to reach him before they do. A mutant who draws the attention of both Charles and Stryker is definitely not ordinary. Recruit him into the Brotherhood of Mutants."

...

Alex was unaware that his secondary awakened abilities had attracted the interest of several factions.

At this moment, he had already left Hell's Kitchen. Thanks to a generous donation from a gang member, he had bought a new set of clothes and taken a shower at a hotel.

Due to his continuous energy absorption and use of energy to strengthen his body, his injuries were healing at a rate far beyond that of an ordinary person, even without having mastered the Reverse Cursed Technique. Some of his old scars were fading, revealing smooth, fair skin. With a pair of round-framed sunglasses on his face, he looked completely renewed, no longer resembling the disheveled man from the underground prison-a handsome guy standing at 1.9 meters tall.

Bidding farewell to the store manager, who kept throwing flirtatious glances his way, Alex walked out, leaving her with a look of regret.

Due to the threat from the military and Kingpin, he did not want to stay in one place for too long.

Opening the system panel, Alex checked the energy points section.

[Energy Points: 3425]

After hours of continuous energy absorption, Alex had accumulated three thousand energy points!

He immediately invested all the energy points into the system, rapidly increasing the template fusion rate, which finally stopped at 23%.

The system's prompt finally sounded again:

[Template Fusion Rate: 23%]

[You have awakened a new skill: Reverse Cursed Technique]

[Reverse Cursed Technique Lv1 (1/100): Converts the negative energy of cursed power into positive energy, possessing strong healing effects.]

He finally obtained the Reverse Cursed Technique!

With the Reverse Cursed Technique, Alex's survival ability would significantly improve, granting him a stronger regenerative ability than even the Lizard!

Upon acquiring the Reverse Cursed Technique, Alex learned from the information in his mind that, at this level, he could not use the Reverse Cursed Technique on others, only himself.

However, with the skill level's improvement, this limitation would eventually be resolved, and he might even gain the ability to resurrect the dead and restore the essence of things! Huh?

At this moment, through his Six Eyes, Alex noticed a figure rapidly charging towards him. It was a giant of a man, over two meters tall, barreling through the crowd with no regard for the civilians around him. Many people were sent flying, and within moments, the area was filled with cries of pain, with some civilians even killed.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

In the distance, drones and a large contingent of military forces were gathering, steadily making their way towards the scene.

The giant man came to a halt. His body was a mass of bulging muscles, his skin a deep gray, with thick veins pulsing beneath the surface, continuously pumping energy into his powerful frame. On his back was a small, gnome-like man, in stark contrast to the giant-frail and thin, his entire body not even as thick as the giant's arm.

Alex did not flee. Based on his observation through the Six Eyes, he judged that the giant's speed was far superior to his own. Unless he mastered the advanced technique of his Limitless, which included teleportation, escape was impossible.

Unfortunately, the current level of Limitless was still low, and he had not yet mastered it.

The giant stopped ten meters away from Alex, his bare feet digging into the ground, shattering it and dissipating his momentum. The shards of stone flew towards Alex but stopped mid-air, unable to get any closer.

Seeing this, the giant nodded and said, "White hair, blue eyes, and this strange ability-you must be Number 9527."

"9527?"

The number was familiar to Alex. Wasn't that the number from the movie? Why was this giant referring to him as 9527?

Noticing Alex's confusion, the giant did not bother to explain. "9527, don't resist. Come with me. Colonel Stryker wants to see you. Don't make futile resistance, or you won't like having your limbs broken and being dragged back."

The giant spoke with an air of authority, clearly not seeing Alex as a threat, treating him like a prey to be easily hunted.

With that, he lunged at Alex, but as he got within a few centimeters, he found himself unable to get any closer.

Seeing this strange phenomenon, the giant's face twisted into a grimace. "Looks like you need a lesson before you join us. Let me set some ground rules."

Alex lifted his round-framed sunglasses slightly, revealing his piercing blue eyes. Using his pinky finger, Alex nonchalantly cleaned his ear, then blew on the finger as if to clear away nonexistent earwax. With a dazzling smile that held nothing but coldness in his eyes, he said to the giant, "Sure, if you roll over right now, I'll spare your life. That's the rule." Enraged by the disdain from his prey, the giant could no longer tolerate it. He swung his fist at Alex, but it had no effect.

Lowering his sunglasses, Alex walked towards the giant. The giant suddenly felt an immense force pressing down on him, rendering his proud, massive body completely powerless against this terrifying strength.

By then, the military had arrived and were firing frantically at Alex, but the bullets couldn't get anywhere near him. Amidst the hail of gunfire, Alex pressed the giant against a wall,

which began to crumble under the pressure.

"Ain't you going to beg for mercy?" Alex said calmly.

The giant, finally realizing that this target was far beyond any opponent he'd faced before, felt fear ferment in his heart and overwhelm his thoughts.

In desperation, he shouted, "Now, attack!"

At the giant's command, Alex sensed a familiar ripple-the power of space! He noticed the gnome on the giant's back was the one releasing this spatial power. A nearly invisible spatial

blade was flying rapidly toward Alex.

The spatial blade was so fast that he couldn't dodge it!

Squelch!

The sound of flesh being torn apart echoed as the giant's sinister laughter filled the air. Alex

was nearly sliced in half by the spatial blade.

A/N: One lonely morning, there stood a homeless man beside a tavern. He had his hands stretched to his front, waiting for something to be given to him.

Swoosh!

A stone suddenly hit him on the face as a few kids can be seen laughing to themselves after

throwing it.

The homeless man finally talked and said "Ah, finally, stones~"

A/N: Now give stones, people
