A thought crossed Qiao Yin’s mind, and she said with a smile, “Your father must be hoping that you’ll make something of yourself too, so he might be a little strict with you. The older generation tends to be like this. Isn’t your father the same way?”

Gu Jing casually responded, “My dad is not like that. He never scolds me, much less hits me. He is a lot easier going than my grandfather. Whenever my grandfather wanted to hit me, my father would always protect me.”

“Really? You’re very lucky to have a father who loves you so much.”

Gu Jing clearly had a good relationship with his father. Speaking of his father, he seemed particularly relaxed and happy. “My dad is the best dad in the world. Everybody at home disapproves of my dating, and all of them push me to study and work. Only my dad doesn’t.”

Anticipating Qiao Yin’s response, Gu Jing said, “If I bring you home, my dad will definitely welcome you. I’m sure he will support our being together. Would you like to be my girlfriend?”

The water was ready by now. As she made tea, Qiao Yin turned him down, “I think being friends is better. Besides, it’s a little exaggerated to become boyfriend and girlfriend after just a few days of knowing each other, isn’t it?”

Qiao Yin complimented his father a few more times, then subtly changed the subject to matters concerning his family.

Despite his wild lifestyle, Gu Jing seemed pretty open and unguarded. He spoke whatever came to his mind, praising his father to the skies.

Qiao Yin chatted with him until lunch time and then sent him away.

Afterwards, she drove to the medical clinic.

She wasn’t satisfied with the results of their one-on-one chat because she didn’t get much useful information from Gu Jing.

The best way was for her to meet his father, the current head of the Gu family, in person.
