Chapter 2577: Another War (2)
The room was silent, the weight of the story hanging heavily in the air.
"But the God of Time was not done," Yue Yun continued, her voice growing colder. "Enraged by their sacrifice, he turned his attention to your mother and Yun Tian. He attacked them with everything he had, determined to destroy them."
Yun Lintian's heart raced as he clenched his fists, wishing he could have been there.
"Your mother and Yun Tian fought bravely," Yue Yun said, her voice filled with admiration. "But in the end, they were no match for the God of Time. He struck them down, killing them both."
Yun Qianxue and the other women gasped in shock. They looked at Yun Lintian worriedly. "Lintian..." Yun Qianxue called out softly.
Yun Lintian took a deep breath and said, "Don't worry. It should be her avatar."
Yue Yun nodded gently. "Indeed. The God of Time soon realized that the Yun Wushuang he had killed was not the real one. It was an avatar, a decoy created by your mother to deceive him."
Yun Qianxue and the others breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.
"The God of Time was furious," Yue Yun said, her voice tinged with satisfaction. "He had been outwitted for the first time, and he knew that he could not stay in that timeline any longer. With the Chasm of Uncreation resealed and his plans thwarted, he left for another timeline, seeking to continue his schemes elsewhere."
Yun Lintian nodded slowly. He already knew the rest of the story. The God of Time came over and was severely injured by the God of Death here, before the God of Mortals launched a finishing blow on him.
"As for me," Yue Yun said, her voice growing softer, "I fought alongside the others, doing what I could to hold back the creatures of chaos. But in the end, I was overwhelmed. The God Tomb appeared, and I was sealed inside, trapped for what felt like an eternity."
"The God Tomb..." Yun Lintian murmured to himself.
The God Tomb was indeed strange. It could somehow traverse between timelines as if someone were giving it instructions.
Yue Yun's gaze lingered on Yun Lintian for a moment, her expression softening as she saw the determination in his eyes. She knew he was processing everything she had just told him, and she could see the weight of responsibility settling on his shoulders. But she also knew that he was strong enough to bear it.
"What's your next move?" Yue Yun asked, her voice calm but probing. She needed to know his plans, to understand how they would proceed from here.
Yun Lintian took a deep breath, his mind racing as he considered the situation. He had just absorbed the legacies of the God of Mountain and the God of River, and his power had grown exponentially. But he knew that he wasn't ready to face the God of Time or the Lord of Chaos just yet. He needed time to consolidate his newfound strength, to fully master the power he now wielded.
"I need to recuperate and consolidate my newly obtained power first," Yun Lintian said, his voice steady. "It will probably take a month or two. Until then, I won't be able to fight at my full potential."
Yue Yun nodded, understanding his reasoning. "That makes sense. You've absorbed a tremendous amount of power in a short time. It's only natural that you need time to adjust."
Yun Lintian glanced at her, his expression serious. "While I'm doing that, I need you to take care of the situation outside for me. The Divine Realm is still vulnerable, and I don't know what the Lord of Chaos or the God of Time might do next. Can you handle it?"
Yue Yun's lips curved into a faint smile. "Of course. I've been through worse. I'll make sure everything is under control while you focus on your cultivation."
Yun Lintian nodded, grateful for her support. He knew he could trust Yue Yun to handle things in his absence. She was strong, capable, and fiercely loyal.
"Thank you," he said simply.
Yue Yun waved a hand dismissively. "No need for thanks. We're in this together. Just make sure you come back stronger."
With that, Yue Yun turned and left the room, her figure disappearing into the hallway. Yun Lintian watched her go, feeling a sense of relief knowing that she would take care of things outside. Now, he could focus entirely on his own cultivation.
He turned to Yun Qianxue and the other women, who had been quietly listening to the conversation. Their expressions were a mix of concern and determination, and Yun Lintian felt a surge of affection for them. They had always been by his side, supporting him through every trial and tribulation.
"Let's go," Yun Lintian said, his voice firm. "We don't have much time."
The women nodded, understanding what he meant. They followed him as he led them to the training room, a secluded space where they could cultivate without interruption. The room was filled with dense spiritual energy, the air thick with power. It was the perfect place for Yun Lintian to consolidate his newfound strength.
As they entered the room, Yun Lintian turned to face his wives. "We'll use dual cultivation to speed up the process," he said, his tone serious. "It's the fastest way for me to stabilize my power and for all of us to grow stronger."
The women exchanged glances, their faces flushing slightly at the mention of dual cultivation. But they quickly composed themselves, knowing that this was no time for hesitation. They nodded in agreement, ready to do whatever it took to help Yun Lintian.
Without another word, Yun Lintian sat down in the center of the room, his legs crossed and his hands resting on his knees. The women surrounded him, each taking their place in a formation that would maximize the flow of spiritual energy between them.
As they began the dual cultivation process, the room was filled with a soft, golden light. The energy in the room swirled around them, forming a vortex that connected them all.
Yun Lintian could feel the power of the God of Mountain and the God of River flowing through him, merging with his own energy and growing stronger with each passing moment.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
The women, too, felt the effects of the dual cultivation. Their own cultivation bases began to grow, their power increasing as they shared in the energy that Yun Lintian was refining. It was a symbiotic process, one that would benefit them all.
As the hours turned into days, the group remained in the training room, completely focused on their cultivation. The outside world faded away, and all that mattered was the flow of energy between them. Yun Lintian could feel himself growing stronger, his control over his newfound power becoming more precise.
But while Yun Lintian and his wives were deep in cultivation, the outside world was far from
peaceful...
