In the end, Rin Nohara died, and Obito went mad.
(OVO)('=`st)♡
Then, with only one eye freshly awakened to the Mangekyō Sharingan, Obito easily took control of Yagura, the Fourth Mizukage and Jinchuriki, shrouding Mist Village in an even more terrifying "Bloody Mist."
Does this plot sound familiar?
Takuya could only say one thing: What the hell?!
The ships stopped when there were barely 100 meters between them, and Yagura's eyes locked onto Samehada strapped to Takuya's back.
"Yagami Takuya?"
"Seems like your Mist Village isn't as isolated as people think. You're not bad-you actually recognize me. Not like that other meathead who refused to hand over his weapon even after I offered to spare his life."
Takuya's voice was filled with mockery, though his lips curled into a false smile.
Minato and Nawaki both twitched at the corners of their mouths. Silently, they saluted Yagura in their hearts. To be insulted like that and still keep your composure? They'd be boiling with rage if they were in his shoes.
Yagura, however, remained expressionless, unshaken by Takuya's taunts. Instead, he questioned him coldly:
"Takuya Yagami, is Konoha planning to declare war on Mist Village?"
Wow, that escalated quickly-straight to declarations of war.
Takuya couldn't help but laugh. "Hey, how old are you again?"
Yagura: "..."
Don't laugh. We're professionals. No matter how ridiculous this gets, we won't laugh!
Minato nudged Nawaki because his face had started turning red, a sign he was about to lose it. Minato himself was barely holding back laughter.
One of Yagura's biggest insecurities was when people mocked his appearance or age. The second was when people made fun of his height.
In other words, you could joke about almost anything, but not about his looks, his age, or his height.
"I heard you're in your thirties now, right? You've got kids running around everywhere, but what exactly made your wife marry you? Does she think she married a man, or is she just raising another son?"
"Pfft-!"
The worst thing in moments of silence is when someone breaks it with laughter, and that's exactly what happened.
Takuya shot an exasperated look at Nawaki. Couldn't he hold it in just a bit longer?
Yagura's youthful face turned pitch-black in rage, then shifted to a shade of red, then purple... The rapid changes of color were so impressive that Takuya couldn't help but marvel.
This is better than a mask-changing performance!
"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it," Nawaki said, wiping away tears from laughing so hard. Even Minato joined in, chuckling quietly.
You couldn't blame them-the way Takuya had verbally dismantled Yagura's insecurities was just too sharp. He was cutting deep, repeatedly stabbing at Yagura's most sensitive spots. Compared to Nawaki and Minato, who were laughing their heads off, the Mist Village shinobi stared in stunned silence. They couldn't believe what they were seeing. It wasn't that no one had ever mocked Yagura before, but those who had were... well, dead.
Long dead, in fact. Grass already covered their graves.
"Takuya Yagami!!!"
Yagura's face was contorted in fury, as though he was about to explode. He couldn't believe what he was hearing-he had simply asked a question, and now he was being verbally
attacked by Takuya in the most humiliating way possible.
"Don't try to scare me," Takuya said with a cold laugh. "What if I lose control and accidentally do something? Are you ready to declare war on Konoha? That's a bit too much responsibility for me."
Yagura was furious, but unlike most people, he wasn't reckless. Despite his anger, he didn't charge in. If anything, his eyes betrayed an increasing wariness.
If only Fuguki Suikazan had shown this much awareness and caution, maybe he wouldn't have died so miserably.
Mocking is one thing, but we can't play around when it comes to serious matters.
Nawaki and Minato quickly composed themselves, their smiles fading as they kept a close eye
on Yagura. At Takuya's signal, they would be ready to strike at any moment.
"If it's a fight or a war you want, just bring it on."
Threatening me with war?
Yagura, you're not even close to being qualified for that.
Yagura's face turned an ugly shade of blue as he gritted his teeth. "Hand over Samehada, and we'll forget about Fuguki Suikazan."
Yagura was well aware of the atrocities committed by Mist Village. What he wanted now was to retrieve Samehada and avoid conflict with Takuya.
Takuya's reputation, his arrogance, and the death of Fuguki Suikazan all signaled to Yagura that fighting Takuya would bring no benefit.
"Get lost!"
Takuya's reply was a single word.
I earned this fair and square. Why should I give it back?
Forget about it. Yagura wasn't even embarrassed by his ridiculous demand.
He just didn't want to lose a legendary sword.
Was a fight about to break out?
Nawaki and Minato both readied themselves for battle. If things escalated, they would handle
the rest of the Mist shinobi while Takuya dealt with Yagura.
But they were bound to be disappointed.
Yagura was visibly enraged, but he didn't make a move. Instead, he let out a bitter laugh.
"Very well. I hope you don't regret this, Takuya Yagami."
"Goodbye. Don't let the door hit you on the way out."
"Let's go!" Yagura barked as he lowered his arms from across his chest.
"Yes, sir!"
The Mist shinobi quickly steered their warship away at top speed.
"That's it? I thought we'd be fighting!" Nawaki scoffed, unimpressed. "Looks like Yagura is
all talk, just running his mouth."
"Why didn't you make a move?" Minato shot back, smacking Nawaki on the back.
Takuya glanced at them before turning his gaze to the retreating Mist ship.
"I'm not that reckless. Killing Fuguki Suikazan is one thing, but Yagura? He's not someone
you can just kill casually."
"Besides, do you think that little guy is so easy to deal with?"
Though Yagura had been furious on the surface, Takuya could tell he had been cautious the entire time. If Takuya had made a move, Yagura would've retreated immediately. And out here on the open sea, it would've been near impossible to track him down.
Dealing with a Hozuki Clan member was hard enough, but the sea was Mist Village's true
domain.
"Why can't you kill him?" Nawaki asked, rubbing his sore back. "Is he that important to Mist
Village?"
"Pretty much."
The sea breeze ruffled Takuya's hair as he narrowed his eyes.
"He's the Fourth Mizukage-to-be, after all."
Yagura's status wasn't the issue-it was the fact that the Third Mizukage had already lost his
mind.
If Yagura died here, Takuya suspected that Mist Village might just declare war on Konoha for
real.
It wouldn't be a joke. The Third Shinobi World War had started just as messily, with Mist Village somehow dragging Konoha into a full-scale conflict.
Mist shinobi were still baffled by how their village had declared war on Konoha in the first
place.
A small fry like Yagura wasn't much of a threat, but Takuya was more concerned about the shadowy figures pulling the strings-Uchiha Madara and Black Zetsu.
This was the time when they were most active because Uchiha Madara was running out of
time.
"Just wait. Mist Village will definitely try to negotiate with Konoha to get Samehada back."
