Evan explained everything he had figured out about his Title to Anastasia. When he finished explaining, Anastasia thought for a while and then nodded her head.

"I think you are right… at least about the two effects you mentioned."

Anastasia had spent a long time with Azroth. Although he had never explicitly explained the effects of his Cursed One Title to her, she had made her own assumptions based on his behaviour.

When Evan had asked her what she meant, Elora told him that before leaving her in the Tomb, Azroth had promised to bring her sister back and instructed her to stay inside the Tomb until his return.

At that time, Evan dismissed it as a flimsy excuse Azroth had made to convince Elora to remain in the Tomb and guard the seal.

But now, as he thought about it, he wondered if the sister Azroth mentioned could have been the little girl from his dream. After all, that girl had stubbornly declared Azroth her "father," claiming he needed to earn money to ensure she wouldn't have to worry about food in the future.

'Speaking of food, isn't Elora also a foodie?'

"What are you thinking about?" Anastasia's voice pulled him back to reality.

He decided to put the matter aside for the time being and turned to Anastasia, asking her in a serious tone.

"You saw Carla's head when I brought it back from the Tomb of the Ancient. Did you detect any trace of a curse placed by my Title on her at that time?"

Carla had been killed by Zorda in the Tomb of the Ancient.

When Zorda informed Evan about her death, he had shown him Carla's head, as her body had been completely destroyed.

After killing Zorda and the others in the Tomb, Evan had collected Carla's head and brought it back to the Closed World of Dryads upon his return, giving it to Sylvan for keeping until he gets a skill to revive her.

Anastasia was silent for a moment before nodding her head.

"Although the curse's aura was faint due to her being dead, I did sense it on her."

Evan remained silent upon hearing her response. He didn't question why Anastasia hadn't told him earlier, knowing she likely kept it from him to avoid causing him unnecessary worry.

'I spent far less time with Carla than I did with Cedar. Cedar wasn't affected by the curse of my Title, but she was…'

Evan thought to himself and suddenly recalled another matter.

'Since Carla died due to the effect of my title's curse, shouldn't my emotions toward her have turned completely indifferent after her death?'

Evan frowned, feeling that perhaps his understanding of the Title's effects wasn't entirely accurate.
