250. Music makes everything better

As Tomoka rushed towards her chosen foes she couldn’t help the manic grin that refused to go away. Especially when she decided to release the safeties on her and her girls’ jaegers. Slamming her fist on the bright red button with the nuclear symbol on it Tomoka felt the hum of new systems coming online.  

“Girls, I’ve activated the overclock for our jaegers. We have around ten minutes before the chakra reactors start to overheat, have fun!” Afterall, she was sure to have her own. With that last thought in mind Tomoka activated the temporal accelerator in her jaeger. Think of it like a gigantic sandevistan. Unfortunately, unlike Hinata’s sandy, the jaegers’ temporal accelerators couldn’t speed them up by all that much. Not to mention the damned machines were super energy hungry. 

With the temporal accelerator now active Tomoka’s speed doubled as her jaeger not only fired at twice the previous rate but also moved twice as fast as well. The absurd levels of offensive power, more than enough to stop the bijus in their tracks as roars filled the area. 

“Hahaha, queue get jinxed” As the music began playing within her cabin Tomoka continued to laugh maniacally as she activated another one of her experimental systems. In a moment, the weapons that were quickly getting overheated cooled down as liquid nitrogen began being pumped from seals into special channels within the guns. Even so, the rotary canon on her shoulder was still glowing an angry orange as it continued to fire incessantly. 

A moment later Tomoka found herself in front of the trio of bijus she was trying to turn into bee hives. Without wasting a moment Tomoka pistol whipped Shukaku before unloading onto Matatabi who tried to pounce on her. Meanwhile her missile launcher turned delivering a barrage of missiles onto Isobu who was trying to deliver a bijudama point blank. 

As one of her mini(lol)-Uzi got empty instead of reloading she simply threw it at Shukaku as an energy sword fell on her now empty hand courtesy of Veronica. Not wasting even a second Tomoka guided the blade towards Izobu who was shaking his head side to side trying to regain his senses from the missile barrage.

Unfortunately out of the three bijus Isobu is the one with the best defense and therefore the blade failed to out right cut him in half instead getting stuck on his shell as it sizzled from the heat. Abandoning that attack seeing as Shukaku’s massive limb was about to land on her, instead she opted for emptying her other Uzi’s mag onto the now very hurt Isobu. 

With her second Uzi empty Tomoka opted for using it as a projectile by throwing it at Matatabi who was trying to pounce on her again. As she did that she used her left leg to deliver a kick to Isobu’s head before using the now empty hand to grab Shukaku’s jaw. It just so happens that by doing so the biju’s head ended right in front of the rotary cannon. 

“Eat lead!” And with that Shukaku received shot after shot after shot right to the face as he tried and failed miserably to escape. With each moment the sand biju growing weaker and weaker until Tomoka threw him at matatabi who once again was trying to pounce on her.

With both the one and two tails out of the way, Tomoka swapped her grip on her blade to execute the three tails. Disoriented and without the other two to cover for him Isobu could do nothing as Tomoka drove the blade on top of his head going right through as the blue energy blade began glowing an angry red from being overloaded for the move. 

Meanwhile Nozomi once again engaged with the four tails and eight tails. Her own experimental systems going online as her jaeger got covered in hard light armor that looked like samurai armor. Not only that but each one of her arms received an energy katana courtesy of Veronica. 

Hearing Tomoka having the time of her life while blasting bijus and music alike, Nozomi got in the mood to do something similar. 

“Heh, queue Pendulum: blood sugar.” As the song began to play Nozomi began to focus but then an idea struck. With a mischievous smile Nozomi activated her eyes afterall, if you are not cheating, you aren’t trying to win. 

In a moment her blue glowing energy blades ignited with magenta flames just like her jaeger’s hard like armor. Above that an oni mask made of the same flames appeared as well. This, this would be oh so fun. In a blur Nozomi’s jaeger moved at a speed impossible for it if it weren’t for the boost Nozomi was giving it with her susanoo.

Appearing in front of the eight tails Nozomi’s jaeger became a dervish of death as she slashed in different directions with all four of her blades. All the eight tails could do was sacrifice its tentacles to shield itself from Nozomi’s relentless attack. 

Of course the four tails wouldn't remain idle and it was so that it joined the fight. With a quick upward swing of her upper left blade Nozomi forced the four tails backwards in a hasty dodge. It was then that multiple thrusters lit up on Nozomi’s jaeger. In an instant Nozomi lined up all four blades around her before she was sent spinning towards the four tails by the overpowered thrusters. 

Like a saw blade Nozomi spun and so, before the four tails could fully dodge she sawed through two of its tails. Forcefully stopping her spin by driving her blades onto the ground Nozomi’s face contorted into a bloodthirsty grin. She was loving every second of this fight.  

Once again the thrusters lit up as Nozomi dashed towards the now wary biju, not like she cared. Afterall, the eight tails had taken the time it took her to dismember the four tails to gather a bijudama. Even so, she still dashed in a straight line, even when said bijudama was thrown her way. 

In an instant Nozomi forced her jaeger to move. First her upper right arm sliced the bijudama in half vertically. Then her lower left sliced it horizontally. Finally in a fluid motion, the last two arms batted the pieces away, having them explode a kilometer or so away. 

Though as the bijus may be, Nozomi’s blades were more than enough to cut them. As she finally closed the gap with the eight tails Nozomi drove her blades forward in a quadruple stab. One that was blocked by the eight tails tentacles as it desperately tried to protect itself. Said tentacles were by now in a terrible state. Tomoka’s bombardment had already done its fair share of damage, now besides the gigantic bullet holes they were also riddled with slashes and dip cuts. 

It was precisely because of this that they finally could take no more as Nozomi pushed her blades outwards cutting quite a few of the tentacles in twain. It was then that the four tails decided to come for the rescue. Unfortunately for it, a beast of its size couldn't be all that stealthy. In trying to punch Nozomi’s head the beast had left itself wide open, especially so when Nozomi easily dodged said attack. In a series of extremely precise moves Nozomi first severed the offending arm using her lower right blade. Then she proceeded to pierce its gut and chest with both left blades. Finally, the biju’s head flew as her upper right blade easily went through his neck.  

Nozomi didn’t pay too much attention as the biju dissolved into red chakra as it flew towards the Gedo statue. She knew there was no point in killing them or trying to free them. Now that they were with the Gedo statue it required a direct extraction to free them. Not like she cared anyway, she was having fun and that is what mattered. 

Elsewhere Hinata too had gotten in the mood for some music. Especially now that her Jaeger was clear to use its experimental features. With a calm cadence to her voice that barely hid her excitement Hinata spoke.  

“Queue, Solence: blackout.” As the song began playing Hinata took a moment to focus, taking a big breath and holding it for a few seconds. A moment later she let all out as her eyes opened with an intense focus. Then the calm broke away as if it had never been there. 

She could have asked Veronica for a new shield, she didn’t want it. No, she was going to get up and very, very personal with the five tails. For that matter she threw away her sword as she activated the experimental systems within her jaeger. 

Taking a boxer's stance Hinata faced both the five and six tails. Then as a smirk grew on her face she put her right hand out, palm upwards and so she did the move any being would understand. 

“Come at me beasties, I’ll put you down.” As her voice came out from the external speakers on her jaeger that was all the bijus needed. Instantly the five tails began dashing towards her at full speed intending to ram her while the six tails began to rain acid on her. 

Not to be outdone Hinata began running as well towards the five tails completely ignoring the acid that was constantly splattering against her armor. It took all of five seconds for the two juggernauts, one of chakra and one of metal to collide. Hinata’s massive armored fist landed a devastating hit to the five tails head as a shockwave spread from the point of impact. 

That was the experimental tech on Hinata’s jaeger. Hyper dense synthetic muscloids. To put it simply, once active Hinata’s jaeger gains an immense amount of strength. This could be easily seen by the fact that her punch made the massive beast that is the six tails airborne. 

The current downside to this experimental tech is rather simple. The power is so large that the jaeger literally tears itself apart from its own power. Not like it would matter much when it also drained the jaeger of a lot of energy. It was worth it in the end. 

As the six tails got airborne Hinata caught it by its hind leg before slamming it onto the ground followed by throwing the thoroughly concussed biju towards its partner. Not wasting even a second, specially so when that single clash had cause a lot of damage to both arms of her jaeger, Hinata jumped.

It had to be said that seeing a hundred meter tall behemoth of metal jumping a further hundred meters in the air was a sight to behold. Moments after reaching the apex of her jump Hinata’s jaeger began to fall like a meteor on top of the entangled bijus. 

Just as the pair of bijus were about to disentangle themselves from one another a monstrosity of metal fell on them. A resounding boom followed as the earth cratered under the immense pressure exerted by Hinata's move. As for the bijus, the five tails was the unfortunate one to bear most of the damage as its spine snapped. Not like the six tails came out unscathed either.     

Unfortunately for Hinata her jaeger also suffered the consequences of her actions. The legs were barely functioning and most of the hull had bent and warped under the pressure caused by the stunt. Even so, the thing still had enough integrity for a few more attacks. With cold focused eyes and a bloodthirsty smile Hinata proceed to wail on the downed six tails. 

First with her right arm, over and over and over until the limb became undone from its own power. Then seeing as the biju still lived she proceeded to do the same with the left until at last the beast crumpled head proved to be enough to kill it as it turned to pure red chakra. 

“I’m done with mine, you two are just too slow.” Hinata gloated a bit on her comms as the lights within the cabin of her jaeger sparked as they began going out from all the damage caused. 

“Har har, at least my jaeger is still functional, not to mention I am, or rather was fighting against three of them.” Tomoka answered quickly and to tell the truth, fair, she had indeed been fighting a three vs one unlike herself.
