Chapter 195
They were terrified of what he did here.
No. They were terrified of him, of his power. It was not normal for one person to come into a battlefield and destroy everyone without even touching the ground once. They realized that if he wanted to, he could do the exact same thing to them as well. Han wouldn’t do that, not without a good reason, but it was good that they knew their place.
At least now that he was done with this part of his plan, Han could think about moving higher. There are still two guilds on the fiftieth floor and he could tell that those ones would be harder to handle. News of his conquest here will get to them before he could get there and maybe it would make things easier for him. He also had to meet that silly Celestial Dyana. She said she would be waiting for him there right?
But why was Han doing all these things? Followers? Allies? Han didn’t need all of those things. Han just didn’t want any chance of people doing anything that could mess up his plan. He didn’t trust any of these people in the Temple. They were all eager for power and too ambitious to get it. He would rather make them all fear him than allow them to step on his toes later.
And besides, he couldn’t just keep killing them whenever they messed with him because of a misunderstanding. He was tired of being seen as the weakest.
He floated down to the ground and the four leaders walked up to him. He made them all stretch out their hands and they showed him their Stars. This was how the contract of submission was usually signed. The leader of one guild would sign it with the leader of another one. Han touched their Star and then fused his will into it. This kind of contract was even recognized by the Celestials themselves, so it was impossible to get out of it without either dying or Han dissolving it.
Han asked them if there was anything more and Poloma was the one who answered.
“Not for now. We’re going to handle the cleanup like you ordered, leader”
Leader? Han felt a bit strange to be called that again. It felt almost the same as how Tao Long used to always call him boss back on earth. But he planned this from the start so he didn’t need to be feeling strange now.
“Okay, I think I need to get home now, I need to make the specials for tomorrow and see the girls. I need some representatives to come to the restaurant tomorrow. Ask Fey, Ragnar, and Leona, they’ll tell you which restaurant. Make sure you submit a report every week on your activities and also keep your channels open because I’ll call on you soon. Until then, just do what a guild as large as you always do”
Han floated into the air and flew away from the floor.Â
Han’s face was not very popular with the people here because even when he was in the restaurant he hardly ever came out to see people personally, so out of everyone there only a few people knew of his original identity!
Even if Han didn’t intend for it to happen, a new rumor started to float around the Temple, the rumor of a being strong enough to rule over two large guilds alone. People were giving him stupid nicknames like ‘the supreme leader’ and the ‘venerable lord’ and almost everyone was trying to find out his identity!
The people that knew about him were few and they didn’t bother trying to hide who he was, but even when people knew about him, the amount of fear his name put in their hearts prevented them from going out to find him. Everyone knew that he stayed on the first floor and everyone also knew that he owned a restaurant. But nobody dared to make trouble for him.
Just that day, after Han got to the restaurant, he received the visit from the representatives of the two guilds. There were three from each of the guilds. Fey, Leona, and Ragnar were the three from the Trinata guild and from the Rivera guild, Poloma, Tristan (the vice-captain), and one other person who Han didn’t bother trying to remember came along. He was happy that the leader of the Trinata guild didn’t try to come, he didn’t like that man very much.
Once the representatives arrived, they were shocked by the sight of Han meeting them with an apron tied around his waist and a plate of food in his hand! He gave them a salute and then told Rina to find them a seat. It was so shocking to see someone that could kill eight gold Stars behaving like a regular family man on the first floor!
Fey couldn’t help herself from wondering what kind of relationship Han had with Rina. The truth was that the Dragonborn race prioritize strength over everything else in finding a mate and it was almost like a biological reaction for her to be attracted to a strong male. She wasn’t attracted to many of the strong males she used to see around in both her former home and in the guild because they were all braggers that only tried to get into a female’s pants and then leave them with nothing. But what Han did was new to her. He was a strong man, stronger than anyone she had ever seen. And here he was, running a restaurant!? What kind of man is this!? She became very interested in Han because he didn’t look like he was interested in flaunting his power unless he wanted to achieve a goal, he didn’t feel like all those others who were always trying to prove some sort of point.
So when she heard Rina call Han her brother, she was relieved! Maybe he was still single!? And then she saw him kiss his sister and it was like her brain screeched to a halt! Weren’t they siblings!? Was this something normal for humans? Fey looked towards Ragnar and saw him stuffing his face with meat. When he saw her looking at him he gave her a loopy smile and she almost gagged. She can never kiss this monkey brother of hers!
“If you’re interested in him then get in line. You’re very late for that”
The person that just spoke up was Leona. Fey was shocked to hear her speak at all. Since they came here this girl had been very quiet and she hasn’t said a single word to their new leader. For some reason, Fey could tell that Leona was very afraid of Han. It was like her feline instincts were telling Leona that she was in mortal danger around Han.
Fey didn’t know that the fear Leona felt was from when she felt Han’s bloodlust on that tenth floor. It was something Leona could never tell anybody because even she didn’t understand why she was feeling the fear!
Fey asked Leona why she was already late and even Poloma leaned in to hear what Leona would say. Leona only pointed to the back door of the restaurant. The two girls turned and saw a rather flat-chested woman handling some money. Rin saw some people looking at her and she turned and smiled at the customers.
Leona then pointed to various places in the restaurant. Lily who was busy cleaning a table, Miss Kim who was talking to some customers, and even Yue who was riding on Han’s shoulder.
“All these girls are in a relationship with our leader in one way or the other. I’ve personally seen him kissing four of them and I know they all live together in this restaurant. If you want to get to him then you have to be ready to get through all of them. I don’t know how strong they are, but I know that little girl used to be a bronze Star when I first came here, I was stronger than her even. But all of a sudden, she became so strong that her Star changed to a golden one. They are not pushovers at all”
Fey turned back to look at all the girls. They didn’t look too threatening. The only one that she could see would be a threat was that little girl who has a gold Star. The flat-chested one didn’t even have a Star! Fey narrowed her eyes at Rin. She could tell that even though Rin didn’t have a Star, she moved like an experienced fighter. And those gloves on her hands felt like something that would be very difficult to fight against.
“You’re looking at them like you want to fight them in righteous combat to win your one true love”
Fey blushed deeply before glaring at her brother as he began to laugh loudly! Of course she wasn’t doing that! She was just looking at them! And besides, she could tell that if she even touched a single hair on the head of any of these girls, then Han would skin her alive and feed her to the monsters.
