Chapter 17
Chapter 17: I will not harm your daughter
As Rong Yue walked to the flower shop, her mind was filled with many things like how she was going to settle the matter of leaving Auntie Su’s shop. Also, she planned to return the money she had been paid already.
The more she thought, the more it proved like there was no solution other than allowing her to hire someone else. She was about to give up when little Loli’s voice sounded in her mind.
“You can build a self payment system that would scan all her products, this way, she doesn’t have to worry about her sales person being sneaky.”
“You can read my mind?” She asked curiously, deliberating using her mind.
The last step of the project had been to pair her mind and thoughts with the robot own. To put it simply, they had wanted to strip her of her human mind and let her be of one mind with the robot they had built.
“The last step had been completed and I am latched in your brain cells. With the use of some cryptic signals, I can understand your thoughts at a very fast pace.” Little Loli’s voice sounded back.
Rong Yue nodded in understanding even though she had some reservations about it. With her knowledge of the robot and technology, she was sure that with the right materials removing the chip and having it elsewhere wasn’t going to be a problem for her.
.....
She reached the store a little past the time she was supposed to resume and Auntie Su was already packed and ready to go.
“I was just about to call you and then realized that I didn’t get your number after you got a phone.” Auntie said smiling warmly at her.
“Hmmm, I’ll send you a message, I know your number by heart now.” She replied with a sweet smile. A part of her felt reluctant to let go of the warmth that came with resuming work.
But she also understood that change was something one couldn’t stop. Another chance at this life meant that she at the very least owed the world and whatever it was that had given her this second chance a great shot this time.
Auntie Su nodded and then carried her bag, ready to leave.
“Auntie Su, I have something to discuss with you.” Rong Yue finally gathered enough courage to brace the matter as the older woman turned back.
“I think I might be unable to keep working here. But since this is short notice, I’ll work here for the rest of the month free and also pay back what I have gotten from you before.”
Looking at the shock on Auntie Su’s face, Rong Yue almost took back her words.
“Is something wrong? Is the pay too small?” Auntie Su asked, confusion apparent on her face.
“No, I have to take some courses and also take extracurricular activities. Since I don’t have the money, applying for scholarships needs student to be highly effective.” She had already prepared this explanation down previously while she was thinking of breaking the news.
Hearing her words, auntie Su couldn’t find it in her to be unwilling and so even though she was reluctant, she still nodded in understanding.
“You don’t have to return the money, the whole time, you have worked without taking an extra yuan from me, even on days where we get more stocks than I bought, you don’t fail to remit it all. And since you would not be working till you get to college, the money is also important for you.”
Seeing that Rong Yue was about to refuse, she opened her mouth hurriedly, “you can take it as a parting gift from me.”
This way Rong Yue couldn’t argue to avoid sounding rude.
“I’ll put the information out here today and also put it online to see if we get enough interested people.”
After talking for some while more Auntie Su left while Rong Yue started to search online from some materials. What she wanted to build was simple, yet at this time, something like that wasn’t common yet, also, what she wanted the device to do had one function that was not yet available.
Since there was some already built ones, she bought two and then bought the materials needed to make the device a better one.
After completing the order, she spent her time doing research and checking for things that could give her money.

At home, Qin Yichen finally put his laptop aside. The whole time he had felt Rong Zia’s gaze on him as if she had something to say but was hesitating.
“Is there anything you want to tell me?” He asked gently. It didn’t need rocket science to understand that although she could carry out chores and actions she was already used to doing flawlessly, she struggled with fitting into basic and spontaneous activities of the normal human life.
“Are you dangerous?” Rong Xia asked with caution, she didn’t know how to describe the feeling the man gave her, although he seemed like a gentleman with values, she also felt like the air around him was stifling.
She also knew that her daughter was very appealing and was worried that the man was only staying so that he could get closer to her Yue’er.
Since she saw their interaction this afternoon, she had been unable to keep straight.
“I would not harm or touch your daughter. You don’t have to worry.” Qin Yichen promised and even though he didn’t say it out loud, a part of him felt like, it would take quite some energy to win the little girl even if he wanted to harm her.
“Thank you.” Rong Xia felt like she could sense his sincerity and nodded, since she had removed the matter from her heart, her mind felt a lot lighter.
“I’ll clean your wounds after you have your evening bath.” She told him and then went back into her room to get some knitting done.
Just as she left, Qin Yichen’s phone rang beside him. And he picked up immediately.
“Second Young Master, we have found one of the moles. We have a feeling there’s more than one.” The man on the other side and every bit of gentleness in Qin Yichen’s aura disappeared immediately.
“Is that X34?” He asked.
“Yes, master. How did you know?” The man on the other end was surprised. With how wide their forces was, they got and passed information in minutes and so seeing that they couldn’t find the mole in close to three days had been disturbing to them.
“I had a suspicion early on and wrote his code down. Get men Y67 and S17 also, you will find the fourth mole yourself.” He ordered and then ended the call.
As the young master of the Qin Family which was one of the biggest family in the capital, he had learnt to train himself to be assertive and also sensitive when dealing with people.
Coming on this trip, he had already sensed that there was something wrong with the second side of the family, however, since he had gotten the men to tighten the security with several means, he had not expected that he would have been stranded like that.
For the past three days, he couldn’t help wondering what would have happened if the little girl had not been there that night...
