Primordial Soul's Rebirth

CHAPTER 374 - We were late!

Alex was going to come back here to the Phoenixia Empire; this empire had some protagonists within it, and a protagonist meant a coin farm for Alex.

All he had to do was reap the protagonist, and he will have the rewards.

Even the Phoenix, whose name is Emberlyn Ashborn, was going to be reaped by him sooner or later; it would entirely depend on what her response was.

He could've just killed her and left with the rewards, no one would've even known that it was him, they would've thought that the phoenix died on its own.

But he gave her a chance, as he knew that she wasn't a bad entity; she might instead be the only one he found until today who could be called a good entity.

So, he let her be and moved toward the spot where he had left Ann and Noctura, as he could sense the presence of someone from legendary rank moving toward them.

He could sense the presence of three strong phoenixes—all of them with their powers reaching the peak of legendary 2—from the chamber Emberlyn lived in, but he just waved it off.

He didn't care about what others did until they did something that could harm him or the ones he cared for.

*Woosh*

"ARGHHHHHHHHH! FATHER WON'T LET YOU OFF!!"

Alex arrived there in less than a second, only to hear an enraged scream from Edmund, the young master who was getting played by Ann and Noctura.

Alex didn't even spare a glance at that guy, but the moment he appeared in the area—the busy marketplace—everyone froze.

His commanding presence and strong aura were enough to suffocate anyone who gazed at him—at least the normal people with low power levels.

"A-Alice..?"

It was then that Ann came out of the space cover she was hiding in, her steps unsteady as her gaze trembled.

The way Alice was lying in Alex's hand, unmoving, gave her worried mind a much different picture than it actually was.

"She's sleeping."

Just then, as if sensing Ann's unnecessary worry, Alex smiled at her, and the moment Ann heard his words, her body relaxed.

"Sleeping…"

She muttered as her gaze finally caught sight of the light, comfortable smile on Alice's face as she had her arms wrapped around Alex's neck.

She finally smiled with a shake of her hands as she moved closer to Alex.

Noctura, who had turned into her larger or original form, also moved toward Alex before she lunged at him.

If it were a normal person, then they would've had their eyes widened at the sight of a 2+ meters high wolf jumping on them, but Alex just smiled.

*Swoosh*

The next second, Noctura, who was about to reach Alex, turned into her chibi form, and her body landed exactly at her rightful spot—his shoulder.

But just then...

"Y-You bastard! Are you with them as well—?!"

A loud yell, filled with pain and rage, echoed through the area as Edmund, who was stunned for a second, finally broke free.

He saw Alex, and the first thought that appeared in his head, much like everyone else, was, 'Fucking handsome.'

He couldn't believe that having such divine features was even possible.

But as soon as the guy noticed Ann moving toward Alex, his gaze froze again before an unfiltered rage coursed through his veins.

'Did she ignore me because of this good-looking boy toy of hers?!'

He couldn't believe that he was being waved off because of some guy who was 'just a bit' better looking than him.

Edmund wasn't someone really important to the empire—someone whose one wrong decision could affect the functioning of the empire—so he had never seen the broadcast of Alex being crowned, or he would've known whom he was raising his voice at.

But the poor guy was already out of time, as his voice was cut short by a colorless blade that shot straight into his head.

It was Ann who had waved her hand, sending one of her conjured weapons—which had now turned stronger as this was all she used to train with when she was 'trapped' in the Solaria Empire.

All she did was master her already learned abilities to the best she could, and for some unknown reasons, she was able to grow faster when she trained in the human empire; it was as if she had gained some kind of boost.

In just the little bit of time she had stayed in the empire, she had mastered her bloodline ability, her stealth ability, and her weapon conjuration ability to a certain level.

Although her stats didn't get much of a raise, she did get a lot stronger, as now she could easily defeat herself from the past.

It was not that she had gained a new ability, or derived something new from what she had; she had just perfected the skills she had to a level that she could now use them longer and more efficiently than before.

What she didn't know was that she really did receive a boost, and it was due to one of the skills of the protagonist, Eric Reeves.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"You are done already?"

Alex, however, just raised a brow at her actions as he thought that she might want to go on for a bit longer.

"Yeah, I was just waiting for your arrival."

Ann nodded her head with a shrug.

The people in the surroundings, however, froze in shock and dread the moment they took in what had happened.

'D-Did they just kill the young master of the Abraham family…?'

Some of them fell to their knees as they realized that it had really happened.

But just then...

"HOW DARE YOU!!!"

A loud roar reverberated throughout the marketplace, causing the air itself to tremble and some weak people in the area to die off.

The shout was charged with mana, and it was directed completely at Ann, who had killed Abraham; what the people in the surroundings felt was just the access pressure.

Yet, the one at the focus of the pressure didn't seem to be bothered by it, as Alex had already waved off the mana pressure; his eyes squinted as he stared at the new entrant.

*Woosh*

Along with a fierce wave of wind, the owner of the roar finally came into view.

*Boom*

The man landed at the center of the crowd with a large boom, crushing many elementals with the pressure he emanated; his gaze, however, was locked on Ann, who didn't even seem to be feeling even a bit of the pressure.

"Who are you?"

The man growled as his bright orange eyes turned to look at Alex, raw rage flashing within them, which the man somehow kept under control as he knew that Alex was not just anyone; it was clear by how easily Alex waved off his pressure.

The man was Abraham Calderon, the Duke of the Phoenixia Empire, a very well-known personality.

Unfortunately, he wasn't present in the empire when Alex's coronation was broadcasted, making it impossible for him to know who Alex was.

There were some images of Alex going around among the higher nobility of the empire, and he had one image among the documents he received as well; it's just that he never saw it.

If he had seen it, then he wouldn't have taken these steps.

"Why should I answer a dead man?"

Alex muttered as he squinted his eyes, and the next second, a blade made of space, which was only visible to those who had space elements or perceivable by those who had sharp senses.

The Duke of the Phoenixia empire should be able to perceive it, but that was only if he had a normal state of mind, which he didn't have right now.

Right now, his eyes were clouded by rage and remorse as the dead body of his son was still spewing blood on the ground.

"YOU BASTARD—!"

Calderon gritted his teeth, rushing toward Alex with his hands coated with a strange orange flame, but before he could even take a step forward...

*Slash*

*Thud*

His head was decapitated by the space blade, and it fell to the ground with a thud, followed by a heavy this of his body.

*Thud*

"Shall we go now?"

Alex then turned to look at Ann while still holding Alice in his arms.

He had to move out of this area first and then maybe try teleporting all of them to the demon empire.

"Yes."

Ann nodded her head, moving closer to him with a smile; neither of them even spared a glance at the dead bodies of the people in the surroundings, including Edmund and Calderon.

It was as if all of this didn't bother them in the least, which it didn't.

*Woosh*

As Alex willed to, all four of them were zapped out of this crowded area, moving toward a more secluded area as Alex needed calm and silent surroundings to try teleporting.

He did learn some things from Azaroth in the free time he had, and his mastery over space had increased a bit, so maybe he might just be able to do it.

{Sigh...}

Sophia, however, just sighed in defeat as she knew that it would take no more than 2 tries for Alex to learn teleportation.

The marketplace, on the other hand, was left frozen, a deathly silence enveloping the area; the ones in the area had yet to understand what had just happened, but just then...

*Swoosh* X3

Three whistling of winds were heard and the next second...

"Shit! We were late!"

"Sigh..."

"He was killed in a single strike."

Three voices were heard as Agni, Pura, and Griva arrived in the marketplace, although a bit late. Experience exclusive tales on empire

They tried to spread their senses, trying to look for Alex, but after being unable to find a single clue of him, they just sighed and waved their hands, lifting the bodies of the deceased, attending to them, and checking if any of them were still alive.

With that, Alex's visit to the Phoenixia Empire was over, at least for now.
