Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 465: An admirable man capable of breaking the rules of the world

Emma was astonished by this and looked at her. "He was able to give you an ability? Really?" She was in shock.

She had never heard of anything similar, but Isla nodded at her. And her face as she did so was one of great pride and admiration.

She wasn’t telling lies.

If someone could bestow abilities on another person, that someone had to be an extremely terrifying existence, and anyone in this world would agree with this. Abilities are not like any Magic System of the human race or, more precisely, of the Mana Control System.

The Magic System has many types of magic, including elemental and a bit more exotic and curious. All of them are powerful; there is no denying that. The Magic System alone is terrifying, and fighting a high-level Mage from the Human Empire or the Devourer Territory is terrifying. Not to mention Dragons, which tend to be ruled by Magic and are extremely imposing.

However, in terms of overall power level, the Skill System tends to be several steps above the Magic System, even if it loses in versatility and quantity.

The difference between Systems is notable, but this is what allows the Magic System to have new additions from time to time. Humans research magic daily, and every now and then, they can invent new magic, making magic more versatile and wide-ranging.

This is not available in the Skill System. Skills are not created just for the sake of it and cannot be granted unless you are an unusual existence. There are rules in this world, and these rules can rarely be broken.

Abilities among normal vampires most often come from mutation. An example of these is the most powerful Bloody Vampire General, Albert. His ’Ruin’ is an ability with the ability to disintegrate, born from a mutation. These types of mutations are usually dangerous and, in most cases, kill their bearer.

There are a few occasions when normal people encounter extreme situations to the point of near death and awaken some ability. These types of people fall into the category of ’Abilities Obtained through Evolution’. But they are so rare that in the current era, there may be no more than 3 such people because, in addition, some abilities thus obtained are useless.

And, among normal people, there are exceptions to the rule that do not get their ability that way but get it thanks to their Heirs with Destiny. An example of this is found in the Group of Bloody Vampire Generals, the Second Most Powerful, a subordinate of Charles Relish.

Outside of this world’s rules are the Heirs with Destiny and those who have Adam’s Blood in the human race. These abilities are acquired naturally, thanks to the inheritance they receive. But not all those with ancestral blood can receive abilities; only a select few. Those of the human race are greater in numbers than those of the Vampire Race but have less power overall.

Knowing the basics and rules of the skill system, how can someone have appeared and now grant an ability to someone else?

Emma Lewis glanced sideways at Isla. They were both flying at high speed and below them were people fighting or running. Despite that, no one noticed. Maybe some of those powerful ones might notice them, but Isla’s ability was massively affecting them, and they were slightly affected. Even though she could see she was sweating and looked like her head hurt, it was still amazing.

’Matthew Dietrich, eh... Truly, an enigmatic, powerful, and admirable man. To have pushed me aside at that time was a good decision. You’ve matured so well that I can’t even see the depth of your power anymore.’ She smiled after thinking so, and they soon landed at the designated spot.

"You can deactivate it; you seem to have difficulty keeping it active," Emma said, and Isla smiled.

"I’ve been training a lot, but affecting so many powerful people is still difficult, even when it’s slightly. If Matt were with us, it could have been done better." Isla replied.

"Oh? Does he also have any similar abilities?" She asked in surprise. Isla shook her head.

"I think not. My ability what it does is to mess up people’s minds; it’s perfect for assassination. But Matt has some way of amplifying the effect of my ability. Although he also can literally turn us invisible, even powerful people like Martin Allen wouldn’t be able to notice it."

Emma had to frown again... "Martin Allen? You mean that man nicknamed ’The Devil’ of the Allens?"

"Yes, that one. He’s a good subordinate of Matt’s now." Isla nodded, causing Emma to sigh openly.

’God... He really stepped out of my perception without me noticing.’ Although she was surprised, she felt proud and happy. That little young man, who she had given him of her blood just a few years ago, had now reached the greatest heights. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Somehow, that made Emma feel some pressure. "We seem to be falling behind him. We must catch up." Emma said suddenly, startling Isla, who nodded firmly.

"That’s right. His power is getting further and further away from us while I’m so weak..." At last, Isla sighed, but the first wave of men reached them in those moments.

’That was quick.’ Emma smiled and stood up to greet them.

They all looked radiant and nodded quickly to Emma. "Miss Emma, everything is in order. We’ll move quickly to the next checkpoint."

Emma mentioned a few more topics to them, and then some more came in until Emma and Isla were out of there.

As soon as they left, they activated a previously prepared inscription, and the place was blown to pieces. With the plan in place, they both moved to another site.

These movements were not slow, much less few. The number of people who died at their hands in each move was large.

The fact that many people were moving back and forth as if they were headless chickens disoriented many, but that was just the plan—the disorientation to then eliminate them.

After all, it is a plan created to create chaos. And disorientation is part of it.
