Chapter 252: Blood Warlock (1)

"Combat capability!"

Seth showed them his Shifting armour and Staff changing size ability and left at that.

"Pass!" As they slammed a metal ID card at him. He took and stored it away.

'This must have been done to prevent hidden conflict but if I had wanted the Lord to know I may have entered with no suppression'

All Sanctuary Chiefs are extremely powerful, so it would be stupid of Seth to badge in as a Lord in their territory without knowing how they will react.

The sanctuary was large, like a big city but Seth noticed some unique characteristics. People have different coloured skin, different in the sense that there are green skin, purple skin, indigo, and blue skin. Some have scales, some have cat ears or dog ears.

He can see some wagging tails undercoats. Some try to hide their mutated skin but most that weren't exaggeratedly mutated acted like it was a fashion.

One thing was everyone was in shape and they were very mindful of their surroundings and the people around them.

Seth walked deeper, there were no carriages, and everyone was trekking but the road was divided into 8 paths. Some specifically followed one path and avoided the others.

It was then he noticed an anomaly, a young girl walking carrying a book she read without care of the people around but they were avoiding her.

Seth was documenting everything in his Chronicle book. He looked up again and found a few others that seemed to not care.

'What if they bump into another person!'

Seth looked around but realized most were too vigilant to let that happen. 'That dude walking fast will bump into that guy'

Finishing talking, the dude tripped and fell on the indifferent guy walking at the crosswalk. The dude was pulsed away and fell on his butt but he immediately kneeled apologizing, "I'm sorry forgive, I wasn't seeing!"

"Calm down, are you injured?" The other guy asked. The dude shook his head.

'They are sensitive to superior aura and try to avoid it. And since they have a bloodline of different creatures their aura is heavy. It's more like Beast Force'

Seth analyzed. To be on the safer side he found the best path for normal humans like him and headed to Chieftain Manor at the centre of the city's biggest market.

The market thankfully doesn't have that arrangement as everyone seems to have suppressed themselves. Not only that it was well organized and advanced than he expected.

Following the signboard that showed major locations, he arrived at a large building that appeared to be carved from a single brownstone. Guards surrounded it, each equipped with armour and a dangerous spear that emitted pressure.

That was Bloodlines House, a place where bloodline and its related activities were carried out. With Aura's sight, Seth was surprised to find the building emitting aura as if it were alive.

"Excuse me, I'm a traveller and have some bloodline to sell, how will I go about it!" Seth spoke to the only guard that did not hold a spear.

The guard looked at Seth and he felt as if he was being stared at by a tiger, "You need to meet the Chief, he will give you a permit" his voice was grave

"Okay, but what if I want one of the bloodlines to be Infused in me?"

"The same procedure!"

"Okay, thank you!"

Seth left for the Chief mansion but was stopped at the gate. "I'm here for the permit to sell bloodline and Infusion!"

"Okay, wait in line!"

There was no line but after ten minutes someone from the mansion came and gave Seth a piece of paper. In it was time and date he should come back to meet the chief.

'Fuck!' He needed to wait three months from now before the chief became available.

"This is very long. I only need a permit. Look, I only want bloodline infusion. I will pay with gold and rare resources from dragons and rare plants!"

"Certified Infusion and authorized bloodline transaction followed a rigorous process so that there will not be any external and internal side effects afterwards." the man said.

"I don't understand!" Seth was confused about the direction of the conversation.

In all of Gawee, Blood Warlock was the only one that had Continental Certification to Infuse Bloodline and give Certification to Bloodlines. So it was not a matter of just seeing Seth's bloodline and marking it.

It involves an in-depth analysis of the bloodline abilities, weaknesses and future advancements. After that, there will be an analysis of what other bloodlines can be merged with and what will be the outcome.

There will also be experiments on its effect on various creatures of different kinds and then any other formalities.

"Why with all the process? What if someone is urgent and can't wait!"

"Our chief is a reputable blood warlock and anything he certifies is authentic and he intends to keep that good reputation. Now if you will excuse me I have things to do!" The man said as he turned and left.

Seth stood there thinking about how he could bypass this long process. He even thought perhaps he should have come in as lord than a commoner.

He sighed and left but he wasn't far when a man from the building came to him with a smile.

"Hello, traveller. How are you doing!"

"I'm fine."

"May I see your badge!"

Seth showed it to him.

"Mr Seth, there are ways for you to move up the list if you can afford it. Are you interested!"

'This is bribing right?' Seth thought before he said, "Yes, I'm listening!"

"A single Gawee Beast Core can move you up for a week. If you happen to have some, I can help you!" The shady worker said.

"Ah. What about Gawee Monster!"

"We don't usually take that one but one hundred of that can have the value of one Gawee Beast!"

Seth frowned, he didn't have that number, at that moment he notified another gentleman shaking his head at him. Meaning he should not trust the worker.

"I don't have that but is there a way for me to obtain them? Like a place to hunt or buy them!"

The man immediately lost interest and his smiling face changed and said, "Well you can join the Gawee Hunter Association to test your luck." He turned to leave before he added, "Only Blood Warlock can certify bloodline and its infusion successfully. Anyone else is a fraud!"

Seth sighed, he has things to entice the man but he really can't show his items to these people without knowing the nature of this town. What if he attracts unwanted attention to himself and causes trouble?

At that moment he felt a tagging feeling as if someone was pulling his jacket softly. He looked back but saw no one.  He then went to the gentleman who had made a gesture to him earlier.

"Good day, Sir. You look like you require a guide to the town. Come with me, I will show you around!" The gentleman said bowing a bit.

Seth stared at him for a moment but he ended up agreeing. He took him on a tour and explained various things in the city, the districts, markets, hospitals, hotels gambling houses and even places of beautiful women that offer special services.

It was at sunset that they stopped at Hunter Association for Seth to register but met the place closed. Due to some problems, the chief has expelled the association from his land.

Even his Guide didn't know what happened because it happened that day.

"Thank you Mr Godon. That was helpful. How much for the guide!" Seth said to the middle-aged gentleman.

"Haha, I don't do this for money actually. It's free but if you don't mind I will connect you with some people in case you want to buy something. I assure you their product is good and cheap compared to others and even if it wasn't. Because I recommend you to them, they will consider you greatly!"

"Oh. But I have a feeling that there is something you want to tell me about what I want!"

Gordon laughed before he said, "Well, if you trust the bloodline you want to infuse into yourself then there are other easier ways. Even if you are selling, know that their value may be reduced compared to certified ones. However, seeing you, I suggest you wait for the chief!"

"Hmm. I don't have time to wait. But are there any other ways to meet up with him!"

"Yes, but I don't think you have the means!"

Seth retired into a hotel and he rested his shoulder. 'Maybe there are invisible kids that love pranking newbies!' Seth commented as he had felt countless times as if someone was tugging his shirt but when he checked even with Aura Sight he didn't see a thing.

Meeting Blood Warlock for bloodline reasons was not easy. The chief respects his job as such he always gives his all in the certification process.

But meeting for other matters is relatively easier. In fact, he was gentle enough for commoners to stop him on the road and chat. That was if he was not busy.

According to Gordon the easiest way to meet him was to be recommended by one of the elders of the city. Secondly, bringing him at least ten Gawee Beasts as a gift will make him consider.

Seth learned it can be used as an energy source just like abhorrent red cores.

The third way was to just request to see him for important purposes, things that would garner his attention. People from around the land came with information and valuable resources.

The last option was feasible for Seth but Gordon said the chief has been busy and even that may not garner his attention.

Seth had a good sleep before the next day he went to the chief mansion. He directly met one of the guards and he said.

"My name is Seth Enoch and I'm a traveller that crossed hundreds of miles to reach here. I have some valuable resources obtained from a variety of dragons, and forests and I happen to encounter important information. But I need to see the chief to offer all that!"

Seth was emitting confidence and a noble demeanour. He already knows he doesn't need those attributes to act that way.

"Wait here!" The guard said before he entered the mansion. Moments later a man in a long brown robe came out with him.

Seth was then called inside. He sat in an office and the man faced him.

"My name is Zack and I'm the Messenger. You said you have dragon items and items from the different forests and information?"

"Yes. Mr Zack!"

"Call me Messenger Zack. Can you show me one of them?" Zack asked.

Seth tapped his pocket and a box came out, he gently pushed it toward the messenger and opened it. Heat and pressure came out of the box, it was dragon scales belonging to a fire dragon.

"Interesting" Zack smiled but his eyes were on the box not the scales.

"Where did you get this type of wood?" Zack asked.

"Somewhere far away. Are you interested? I have some but I really need to meet the chief!" Seth said.

Zack sighed as he looked Seth in the eyes and said, "I'm not gonna lie to you but the chief is not available. A week ago something came up and the chief has been busy trying to solve it. And I know you just need bloodline infusion and some certificate but that will still take time."

"Some of the value I have is worth his time!" Seth said.

"Chief Crimson is different from most people. If he focuses on one important thing, he rarely breaks his attention. Blood Certification and Infusion are other things he gave full attention to. So, I'm sorry I can't even set you to meet him but…!"

"I like the sound of BUT in this context!" Seth commented and the man smiled.

Seth was shown a stack of files and was told that every day an elder could review them, for those that caught the elder's interest he would push them to the chief.

He was then given a form in which he filled it and also explained the reason why he urgently needed the chief. Seth did all that before his badge was changed to bronze and was told to hold on to it, he might be alerted.

As he was being guided outside, an oppressive aura came from outside that made the mansion people quickly give way. Zack pulled Seth to the side.

Ten people came inside, their faces stern, each releasing powerful pressure surpassing baby dragons. However, one of them seems like an ordinary man.

He was working in the middle talking to the strongest of them. The ten people all glance at Seth as they pass.

"They are powerful!" Seth commented.

"Of course, personally crafted by Chief Crimson himself. I bet you didn't recognise which one of them was the chief!"

"The non-oppressive one"

"Haha, you have keen eyes. Or did you know him before now!"

"I specifically came here from far away, I have to do my investigation, right?" Seth said.

"You are right. I will surely push your file to the elder, hopefully, he sees value in it. You may have seen the chief now but those guys are there to push anyone away until he finishes the quest at hand!"

After some chat, Seth left disappointed. He believed that the elder and the file were just a way to pacify important people.

"Now what?" Seth asked as he looked around. "Investigate the market to see if there are valuable items!"

The market was large, well-arranged and easy to navigate. Today Seth didn't feel the shirt tugging as he wandered alone. The people were really nice as most shop owners will just invite him to examine their product even if he won't buy it.

The people were just that good in advertisements. The day was uneventful as he gained a relative understanding of what products were there and what he may need.

Seth returned to his room and decided to go through what he had to see what he would sell away. But met with something strange, some of them were missing.

"Where is my Four-leaf embrace?" Seth asked out loud. He purposely harvested that a lot without even removing the incandescent bean. He intends to use them to seal away things made of energy.

"Where are my purple mushrooms, siprit leaves and mangoes? Wait let me check everything…"

Seth brought everything from his storage and became more apprehensive. He has made so many things using his aura, they are utility objects such as Aura Lenses, aura gloves, aura detectors and others but they were nowhere to be seen.

There were other sculptures, items using Greenoval and many pottery but none existed now.

What made him upset more was his tools, his Sculpture Tools gifted to him from Silent Veil town were also gone.

"The tugging I felt was an indication of my items being taken away. Godon, it's that bastard that distracts me for others to do it or even he was the one!"

Without further ado, Seth stormed out hurriedly and traced the path they had followed until he found Aura Trace of Godon. Due to the city being congested with people the aura trace usually disappeared but if there was a place that a person passed and fewer people passed it, the aura trace lingered.

Seth bent and grabbed it but to his surprise, it dissipated fast and vanished completely. "Is he that good?" Seth wondered but shook his head, "This land has a powerful Chief as such it keeps everyone safe within his will!"

Seth relented on using an aura trace information but used the aura trace. In a way, he went around checking the places they went until he found a lead to an area within the market. There he found Godon.

"Mr. Seth, you are here to see me?" He said with a smile.

'This guy is a good actor!' Seth thought before he said, "Yes!" He smiled too, they shook hands and began talking.

Seth lured him away toward a secure area claiming that he needed guidance regarding an item. But the moment they were hidden Seth looked at him and said, "I lost a great deal of stuff from my pocket, I want them all back. Especially my sculpture tools box!"

Godon's eyes went wide before he frowned and said, "Do you think I will be a stupid thief to steal from you while spending the whole day together? And also stay around to find me!"

"Shut up, trick and deception will not elude me again. You are a shady man, you steal my stuff!" Seth said, "I can let go of many things but not my tools, the sculpture box. Give it back and things may be easier for the rest!"

"Or what?" The man shouted and that made Seth take a step back. The man's eyes had just changed and he felt the need to leave him alone.

"Look, I didn't take your stuff. But I do know some thieves that do these sorts of things. If you want me to connect you with them I can do that and even if you want me to buy the items back for you I can do that but don't take me as the thief. I'm a broker!"
