The Dungeon Conquerors: Journey to the Peak

After getting all the loots and even a powerful puppet, Rein and his group came out of the old ruin with faces full of smiles. When the puppet attacked them, it did become a bit dangerous, but the amount of loot they had managed to get made everything worth it. Now he would finally be able to focus on mastering his magic even more without any distractions.

Getting valuable loot was not the only reason why he was so happy. Getting the book and the diary of Jakery was extremely helpful to Rein. Actually even though he was a rank 5 mage, he was having trouble thinking of a way to reach the sixth rank. The diffence between the fifth and the sixth rank was extremely high and even Rein was having a little trouble understanding it.

But as a fellow fifth ranker who had also managed to reach the peak of this rank, Jakery had done lots of research on the sixth rank in his long life. So his notes were extremely helpful to Rein. The diary did not have much of a detail about his magic training only a slight bits of it was mentioned here and there. But the books were a great source of information.

After getting all the volumes, Rein was finally able to understand the gist of the book. It actually described Jakery's own mental state. Because of various things that had happened throughout his whole life Jakery hated the whole world and wanted to see it burn and get destroyed. That rage and wish for destruction was expressed in the book "Downfall of Nature and Society".

Obviously Rein did not have this kind of mindset. But if he wanted to complete the last volume, he would need to explore this mindset a little bit. In this process, there was a high chance that he would also be able to get a good idea about his own path toward the sixth rank.

So after returning to the academy, all three of them buried themselves under a lot of study and practice. Rein needed to complete the magus artifact, Lopas wanted to reach the fourth rank as soon as possible and Luna did not wanted to be left behind by her two closest person and was planning to do her best to keep up with them.

With their determination and hard work, everything went extremely well. Just after one and half months, Lopas was able to reach the fourth rank. She was already extremely stimulated by her fight against a similarly matched opponent and then she even got the chance to witness the fight between two fifth rank powerhouse. Luna did not fell behind and actually managed to reach the third rank even before Lopas. It looked like with her new mindset about the star affinity and her newfound confidence, she was making extremely fast progress. Both Rein and Lopas were happy about her.

Actually the person who was making the least amount of progress during this session was Rein. The mindset of Jakery was even more twisted than Rein had expected. So he was having a very hard time putting himself in his shoes. Completing a rank 5 treasure was not easy, specially when that rank 5 treasure was going to be used as catalyst to create a rank 6 artifact. So he needed to be extremely careful to not make any mistakes.

But still even after one whole year, he was only able to make a little progression toward his goals. His two lovers were also starting to slow down with their growth. So Rein throught that it would be a good time to take a little break and to have some fun in the outside world.

So after almost a year of continuous seclusion, Rein finally came out alongside his two lovers Lopas and Luna. They had gotten way stronger than before, so immediately after coming out, Rein decided to take a few combat and exploration mission for them to test their strength out.

As for his own, Rein decided to research a bit more about the man named Jakery himself. From his book and diary, it was clear that he had a troubled past but he had never mentioned about it anywhere. So Rein thought that if he could know about his past, then he might have an easier time understanding him.

As a fifth rank mage, Jakery was definitely not a fameless individual even though he worked for an evil organisation. And the headmaster was actually one of the maguses who participated in the destruction of the Order of Ramna.

So Rein had hoped that he would know some things about this man. His guess turned out to be correct as the head master did know about him. When Rein asked about him, the head master was a bit surprised at first but then he handed Rein a report from the past where almost everything related to the high ranking members of the Order of Ramna was written. From these reports Rein was able to get quite some information even though the information he was looking for was not here which was about Jakery's past. But still he was able to know about his hometown and fortunately it was actually inside the Magic Kingdom of Gilthar.

So Rein immediately made the plans to visit Jakery's hometown during their outing this time. Even though he had existed a long time ago, for high ranking mages, this was not too long in the past. So Rein could hope to get some for information about him in his hometown.

Actually the people related to the report Rein just read only mentioned relevant information that could be used against him in battle. So they actually did a good work. His past was not something that they were interested in as in their eyes he was just an enemy who would soon be killed. So they did not bother to research anything else about him as their was no need for that. So Rein decided to do the research himself.

Just like that, the plans for his outing was ready and another adventure was waiting for the three of them.
