Chapter 43: Becoming a Master!
"You want to fight Leon?"
He heard a calm, coaxing voice from behind.
He knew this voice, it sounded familiar. Turning around, he saw the Viscount walking with a beautiful, cold-faced Seraphina. Too angry to admire her, he bowed down in respect to both of them.
"Yes, sire! I want to teach him a lesson he will never forget! I want to let him know that this world isn't all about having a pretty face! I'll disfigure that face of his and show him that..."
"You have my permission!" the Viscount interrupted him. He could see that Euwen was completely overwhelmed with rage. If he didn't interrupt, Euwen could rant all day about what he'd do to Leon.
"Challenge him to a duel in the Estate's battle arena," the Viscount added, giving Euwen a token. Seraphina beside him remained silent, her face cold. Inside, she was in turmoil.
Leon is a master in cultivation, and the Viscount shouldn't risk offending him. She had nothing but pity for Euwen. With the solid image of Leon in her head, she was sure that Euwen didn't stand a chance; Leon would toy with him in battle. How could a youngster compete with a cultivation master with years of battle experience?
After giving Euwen the token, they both walked away.
"What are you doing, Viscount? I told you that Leon is an enigmatic figure you shouldn't mess with," Seraphina's voice was cold and reprimanding. She had an intense urge to slap the Viscount.
The Viscount smiled sheepishly, unaware he had been spared by Seraphina, dodging a bullet that might serve as a disgrace for the rest of his life. "Don't you find this interesting? Don't tell me you're not interested."
Seraphina sighed. Despite being against this, she'd be lying if she said she wasn't interested in watching the match.
Meanwhile... At the current time...
Leon and Amelia had left the Viscount's study and were walking through the estate grounds. Amelia's worry was evident in her eyes, but she remained silent, not wanting to burden Leon with her concerns.
They were walking casually, Leon turned to her, his expression serious. "Amelia, I need to prepare, once the butler brings info of the dungeon portal location, I'll leave for a dungeon raid, but will return by night."
She nodded, understanding the weight of his words. "I know, Leon. Just promise me you'll be careful."
"I promise," he said, his voice firm.
The atmosphere heavy with unspoken fears and hopes. Leon knew he had to be at his best. Not just for the duel, but for the future that lay ahead.
Suddenly, Leon's eyes twitched. He felt something. "Amelia, do something for me. Walk ahead. I'll be right behind you before you know it."
Amelia nodded and walked forward, not thinking too much about his words. She assumed he was going back to have a man-to-man conversation with her father.
'Father might have called him back,' she thought, using a rare skill book granted to nobles that allowed them to speak directly to someone's mind without moving their lips. This skill was akin to Spirit Sense, like when Seraphina spoke to Amelia's mind back when she was with Leon. However, the skill book's range was significantly smaller compared to the vast reach of Spirit Sense.
Her father's cultivation was too weak for Spirit Sense, as he had no talent for cultivation. Even Amelia's cultivation was higher than her father's, who was only at the peak stage of the Qi Condensing realm. Nevertheless, this skill book, which Amelia was aware of, explained her willingness to walk forward without questioning Leon.
Once Amelia was far enough, a cold gust of wind blew in front of Leon. With blinding speed, someone fell from the sky, landing on one knee. It was Seraphina. She was beautiful and looked cold and graceful, like the Ice Queen she was. The most shocking fact was that she was not only kneeling in front of Leon but also bowing, her face carrying a deep sense of reverence as she didn't dare to look at him.
Leon was surprised. Moments ago, he had noticed a familiar gaze on him. He quickly linked it to Seraphina, so he sent Amelia off, intending to call Seraphina out. But now, it seemed Seraphina had been waiting for Amelia to leave all along.
"This lowly, ignorant one greets Master," Seraphina said, her voice filled with respect.
'What?!' Leon was shocked, but he maintained an expressionless face, not daring to reveal his shock to Seraphina. He needed to adapt quickly. This was unexpected and heavy. He hadn't anticipated it at all.
"Rise," Leon said, his voice steady despite his inner turmoil. "Explain yourself, Seraphina."
Seraphina stood up slowly, keeping her head bowed. "Master, I have recognized your true nature. Your profound aura and the power you hold are far beyond what anyone in this realm can comprehend. I am here to offer my loyalty and serve you."
Leon narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing her. "How did you come to this conclusion?"
"Your aura, Master. It is unlike anything I have ever sensed. The way you suppressed Amelia's physique is something only a being of immense power could achieve. I have lived long enough to recognize true strength when I see it," Seraphina explained, her voice trembling slightly with reverence.
Leon took a deep breath, processing her words. He had to tread carefully. "And what do you seek in return for your loyalty?"
"Nothing but the honor to serve you, Master. To be in the presence of such power is reward enough," she replied earnestly.
Leon considered her words. "Very well, Seraphina. Your loyalty is accepted. But know this: Betray me, and the consequences will be severe."
"I understand, Master. I will not betray your trust," Seraphina vowed, her voice filled with determination.
"Good," Leon said, his tone final.
Seraphina bowed deeply once more. Her eyes had been lingering on his bulge, betraying a mixture of desire and reverence, she could feel her pussy twitch. She gulped, her voice trembling slightly, "Master, forgive my boldness, but do you need assistance with that? It seems you have been left... unsatisfied."
Leon's eyes twitched, his voice turning icy. "What do you take me for?!A whore?! A prostitute that can't control my desires?! You're not to be the one to ask for that!"
