Chapter 2547 Just Fine
2547 Just Fine
Rui wasn't sure what to say to that.
He knew that he had extreme fame not only due to his incredible accomplishments but also by virtue of being the emperor in all but name at one point. Still, to think it would manifest in the form of record breaking success of the Water Sect.
"With the growth that it has seen in the past few months, it is clear that the Water Sect will eventually become a major sect in the Kandrian Empire, on par with the Fire, Earth, and Lightning Sects," his father continued. "The voidlet techniques that you planted in the academies many years ago during the Kandrian Throne War have sprouted into many Martial Artists who have mastered them and have gained Martial Paths tangentially related to Adaptive Evolution."
Rui recalled how he had created the voidlet techniques and introduced them into the Martial Union and the Academy more than a decade ago so that someday he would be able to create a sect centered around adaptive evolution when it was no longer super niche.
It had finally paid off after all these years, contributing to many Martial Artists who not only knew exactly what it was but also knew how to integrate it into their Martial Paths. Many Martial Apprentices, Squires, and Seniors had joined the Kandrian Empire in hordes.
"There are even Martial Masters who have chosen to join my sect!" Rui's eyes lit up.
"There are many Martial Masters who have broken through to the Master Realm thanks to all the breakthroughs you have done recently," his father pointed out. "Many have deep gratitude and admiration and have integrated the thought techniques that you have imparted to them into their Martial Minds."
Rui recalled that Sage Sayfeel had told him about a Martial Master having only broken through thanks to his thought techniques.
Still, Rui didn't expect that other Martial Artists would join his sect that had so little to offer them. Well, that wasn't strictly true.
He could offer them the large soul model that he had begun creating for himself. After speculating that the Enlightenment of Self was a large language behavioral model, which he had taken to calling a large soul model, he had begun compiling one for himself slowly in the back of his mind.
He had strong suspicions that doing this could accelerate the breakthrough to the Sage Realm. If that was the case, then he could offer this to the Martial Masters who joined his sect. Especially so when Martial Sages were extremely important in the Era of Darkness. The more he produced, the greater the likelihood that human civilization would be able to prevail and emerge victorious from the Era of Darkness.
Unfortunately, it was not mass-viable. The large soul model that he was working on for himself was so utterly titanic in its data that it was larger than his entire Martial Mind. None of his other systems of thought, not even the Angel of Laplace or the Tree of Life, could come close to the sheer amount of data that a large soul model like the one that he was working on in the background had. It was even larger than the astronomical inheritance of the Elder Tree.
It was barely something he could do for himself, let alone for other people. "I will need to address the Water Sect headquarters at least once before I leave," Rui murmured. "It is my sect after all. But I won't be here to handle anything else."
"You can leave the rest to Guildmaster Bradt," his father reassured him. "That man is entirely in his element. There is no better option than allowing him to take the reins and spread the Water Sect to the entirety of the world. Rui shrugged. "That kinda has always been the plan. I just didn't think I would be this uninvolved." n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
He wasn't necessarily mad about that.
It gave him more time. "Anyway, if there's nothing else…" Rui remarked as he reached the end of the briefing report. "Then it is time for me to head out on my voyage across the Panama Continent. I can't wait to get my hands on one of their healing fruits."
In order to evolve the Megamind technique into the Gigabrain technique, he needed to get his hands on the fruits of the Tree of Healing. "We already have one fruit lying in our inventory," Emperor Rael informed him with a puzzled expression.
"Wait, what?!" Rui did a double-take where he sat. "It's been in our inventory for a little over half a year since Tokugawa Ieyasu joined the Kandrian Empire," Emperor Rael informed him with an amused expression. "And if you're thinking of using it for your training, I will stop you right there. That fruit is of immense strategic value and is reserved for the Sages when they will be dispatched to fight the quasi-Transcendent beasts. I can wholeheartedly assure you that this purpose is of absolute importance, completely overpowering any bargaining power that you will try to use to get me to bring it to you."
"Damn Ieyasu," Rui cursed. "He should have given it to me!"
Emperor Rael gazed at him with a dubious expression.
Rui heaved a sigh. "Fine, I will just bully the Sekigahara Confederate into giving me one." The Emperor of Harmony heaved a resigned sigh. "Remember the bigger picture when you do that. The Sekigahara Confederate cannot be allowed to fall. For the sake of human civilization."
"I know. I'm generally rational as a person."
Emperor Rael gazed at him with an even more dubious expression.
"…Sometimes rational."
The Emperor of Harmony narrowed his eyes.
"Tsk, this conversation is over. Bye-bye, have fun being buried in paperwork."
Rui swiftly stormed out of Royal Palace while Emperor Rael shook his head with amusement and exasperation. "May Gaia save us all. What do you think, Sayfeel? Do you think it's wise to entrust the fate of human civilization to him?"
Sage Sayfeel glanced at the skywalking young Master in the distance. "I think he will be just fine, Your Majesty."
