Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain

Chapter 283 Break In [2]

Levitating up, the nine students landed atop the base of the obsidian door, which was ramping upwards.

Not skipping a beat, Liam and the other members of the main cast, alongside Kazuki, activated their movement abilities to move forward at unbelievable speeds.

Unfortunately, that left just one person standing confused and furious at the boss of the door.

If Kaneki used his Reality Phase movement abilities, he would phase right through the obsidian door and on the dirt below the door.

Sighing, Kaneki stared at the eight other running figures before breaking into a regular and mundane human-like sprint.

Blending perfectly with the pitch-black obsidian wall, Ren de-manifested all his corrupted objects before leaning downwards.

To fit inside the small hole separating him from the vault, he had to lie down on the top portion of the obsidian hole and slide through.

Feeling the cold and hard material pressed against his chest, which was exposed as his clothes tattered during the purple-orb explosion, Ren sighed, Stay updated with mvl

Pushing himself forward was a daunting task, considering the wall was upward-sloping, but Ren somehow managed.

Like a snake, Ren slithered on the floor, ducking his head down so that his chin touched the obsidian wall as he approached the floor.

Behind him, Lily was the first to reach the top of the obsidian wall as her movement ability was best suited for short sprints like these, unlike the others whose abilities thrived during marathon-like fights.

Also, seeing the hole in the obsidian door, Lily hesitated to lie down on the obsidian floor.

Simply standing still on the top portion of the obsidian wall, Lily looked around for a second, making sure nobody was close enough to hear before saying.

"If you're here, say something."

"...?"

Confused, Ren ignored LIly's schizophrenic talk and continued slithering forward.

Just to make sure, Ren turned around for a second and glanced around, and even with his enhanced eyesight, he could see no one there besides Lily.

Was she perhaps talking to him?

Seeing absolute silence from her question, Lily let out an audible sigh before walking close to the opening.

Getting eerily close to Ren, Lily attempted to block the gap between Ren and the vault before opening her mouth once again.

"Whatever it is you're looking for, it's not there."

Catching Ren off guard by her words, Lily took the moment to step ahead and lean down, blocking the gap with her body.

Ignoring the silence, Lily continued.

"There are no weapons or items in here. Just a cell. One single cell."

Glancing around, Ren confirmed that the other main cast members and recruiters weren't in the hearing distance before replying in a harsh tone.

"And how would you know that?"

Pointing behind her and through the gap into the door, inside the vault, Lily ignored Ren's tone before replying in an equally harsh tone.

"Because I've been in there."

Approaching Lily, Ren stood up and manifested a single corrupted dagger.

Holding the dagger so that it was facing the ceiling, Ren embued the blood-red substance into it, causing the dagger's tip to burn a dark red.

Raising the dagger above his head, Ren illuminated the area around him, including him, before waiting for Lily's reaction.

However, upon seeing Ren's figure pop out suddenly before her, Lily showed no reaction, simply standing with her arms crossed.

Seeing this, Ren hesitated a moment before replying.

"Why should I believe you?"

As the other figures began rapidly approaching the two, the blood-red dagger illuminating Ren came into sight.

Liam, being at the front of the rushing main cast, pointed at the illuminated figure right next to Lily before screaming.

"SHE'S STALLING THE ROBBER FOR US; WE HAVE TO GO!"

Nodding their heads, the rest of the main cast and Kazuki increased their pace to a maximum, not conserving any energy.

Behind them, Kaneki could be seen panting for air as he tried his best to keep up with the main cast above him.

"huh?"

Looking above him, Kaneki spotted Kazuki, who was only a few meters away from him, with his hand stretched out.

Staring at Kazuki's stretched-out hand, Kazuki alternated gazes between the disappearing figures of the main cast and Kazuki.

Seeing Kaneki's confused figure, Kazuki smiled before reaching out his hand even further and asking.

"What are you waiting for? Grab on, will you? We don't have all day."

Not waiting for Kaneki, Kazuki took out his spear before placing it between his legs and mounting it, just like he had done last time.

After hesitating for a moment, Kaneki suddenly realized Kazuki's idea, causing an audible groan to emerge from his mouth.

"You do know what happened last time we did this?"

Nodding his head, Kazuki continued staring forward before replying.

"How could I forget? I had to clean your throwup off my spears for at least a month after. Although...the terrible smell of the spear after it did increase the offensive power of the spear."

"..."

Grasping Kazuki's hand, Kaneki also mounted the spear, staying a safe distance away from Kazuki's back.

Seeing Kaneki mount the spear, Kazuki began to make the spear levitate before turning back and saying.

"Don't you dare throw up on me?"

Pointing at the distance between their bodies on the spear, Kazuki furiously replied.

"LET'S GO ALREADY!"

As Kazuki began laughing, the spear suddenly burst forward with an incredible amount of speed, almost catching up to the main cast within a few seconds.

Back next to the gap entrance to the vault, Ren leaned his head to the side and asked.

"If what you're saying is true, then what is in that single cell? This seems like an awful amount of security for one cell."

Looking behind Ren at the approaching spear-rides and main cast, Lily took out her wand.

Seeing this, Ren tensed; however, he tried his best not to let it show, as if saying that Lily wasn't even a threat to him.

Slowly raising her wand, Lily replied.

"See for yourself."
