Chapter 388 Auction

Chapter 388 Auction

Alex and the group enjoyed their time in the city, from watching a game of Meteor Ball to the death match between criminals, with both being peak Elementalists and even doing some game of first blood against a group of dragon borns, winning it with ease.

It was a fun time that Alex and the group very much enjoyed, forgetting the various burdens he carried, and when it was time for the auction, they made their way to the massive open stadium in the city's center.

The stadium was built in a crescent shape, designed to accommodate a hundred thousand individuals, and featured three galleries that ascended in height, with comfort and space increasing as one moved upward.

The fourth gallery was composed of floating private chambers arranged in a crescent formation called the Nimbus Chambers.

The seating was assigned solely based on the financial resources of the attendees, and with the funds Alex brought, he was happily given one of the Nimbus Chambers.

After Alex got teleported into his chamber and made the two staff ladies take their leave, he stood closer to the edge of the open window and looked around and below, as this was a first-time experience for him.

Alex observed the numerous VIP chambers that dotted the surroundings, some secluded with barriers hindering visibility while many remained open, giving him info about the powers occupying them.

"Brother, are those angles?" Andrei questioned out loud as he pointed toward a Nimbus Chamber in the distance.

The chamber directly in front of them housed a gathering of ladies, their beauty transcending earthly standards. Their serene and delicate expressions had the power to melt anyone's heart, and the giant white wings adorning their backs only added to the ethereal aura that surrounded them.

"They are Seraphian, and don't be fooled by their looks, as they have a similar pride and temper as the pure Blood Dragons, if not worse," Alex said as he continued observing.

The Seraphian were humanoid individual, with their height ranging between 6 and 10ft, and the special thing about them besides their wings was their connection with nature, with all of their members being capable of reaching the Elemental stage with some effort.

But just like the Giants and Dragons, their numbers were very low, with even the biggest clan only having a bit lower than two hundred thousand individuals, with the overall members of their race estimated to be less than two million.

"I wonder how different their battle style would be," Andrei said as he looked around for something interesting.

As minutes passed and the time for the entry came to an end, a reverberating hum echoed through the stadium as the barrier was set in place, making it impossible to enter and eye drop.

Alex took his seat, knowing seven Elemental Rulers, representing the seven continents, were going to make their entrance and put on a friendly battle, putting on a pleasing and entertaining show.

After just a few moments, a bearded human with a spear and shield appeared, and the area that was filled with humans roared to life as the name of the man, Kestrius Gold was chanted in unison.

A second individual appeared moments later, representing the Beastman, A Windigo, a gaunt, bony humanoid with glowing eyes, long limbs, and antler-like protrusions on its head, with the beastly face of Moose with razor-sharp teeth, wilding chained sickles.

The trend followed as following the windigo came a Bearded Dwarf, a short mountain, and then an elegant elven beauty, who a Seraphian followed male, and then a Giant and lastly, a pure-blooded Red Dragon, who arrived in all his glory, with wings spread wide, a mighty roar shaking everyone to their core and signature dragon breath.

The stadium resounded with the cheers of diverse races, each fervently supporting their representative or favorite individual.

However, the triumphant atmosphere did not disturb those seated in the third and fourth layers, as sound barriers that could be deactivated at will ensure tranquility for those who preferred it. But for now, though, most opted to keep it open, immersing themselves in the full enjoyment of the spectacle.

The battle began shortly after everyone arrived, and to say the battle was entertaining would be an understatement, as none among the seven was afraid of delivering injuries to others, so blood was drawn, and big attacks were made.

After the ten or so minutes that the battle lasted, the once-beautifully tiled floor lay in ruins, marked by pits and scorch marks where the air sizzled with various elemental residues.

However, as the seven individuals departed amid the thunderous applause, a massive magic circle appeared, and the floor swiftly began to repair itself, reaching its immaculate condition in mere moments.

A stage made from dark marble rose from the ground, with a podium on it, at the far end of the stadium, and mere moments later, the Auction master appeared in his place.

The Auction Master was a handsome man with a light beard, draped in flowing robes, and wielding a staff adorned with glowing crystals, with a regal aura around him.

"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed and Noble guests, I am Hadraniel Borir, your Auction Master for this year's grand Auction, and with great pleasure, I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you to the 178th Grand Continental Yearly Auction," The man said, in a voice that resonated with power and grace.

"I apologize in advance if my speech feels uninteresting to anyone, but it is necessary for the newcomers," Hadraniel said, with a slight chuckle before he began telling the rules, the stages of the auction, and other little things.

The auction was going to have three stages, with the first stage having the normal items to be sold, and with it coming to an end, it would be the end of the auction for those seated in the first layer.

The second stage will have rare items, and with its end, the auction will end for the individual seated in the second and third layers, and finally, there were the Grand items that were exclusive to the figures sitting in the VIP or Fourth layer.

This was the best way to sell everything at the best price as no one knew when the auction would end for them while also keeping the information about various important things a secret.

The auction was being done through the system, so things were much easier to handle as information about every item would appear on the screen, with its minimum bid and buyout price, while only the individual who had the funds on him could make a bid, which lessened the competition a bit.

The first stage of the auction was going to have tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of valuable items available for purchase, and the number of items in the second stage was also numbered in thousands.

So there were not going to be any announcements, hammer drops, or hype-ups in the first two stages, and it was going to be an open market where everyone would bid at the same time, and each stage would only end when all items were sold.

The first two stages were fewer of an auction and more of an open market, the best one that would take place in the whole year.

"I wish everyone happy bidding," Hadraniel stated as he concluded the explanation by saying that bidding would start after an hour, giving everyone ample time to pick what they wanted.

"Make your list, and when the time comes to an end, we will compare and eliminate the common things," Alex said as he put everyone to work before he began adding the few things he knew of value he could remember, which number just a few.

After an hour, everyone had their list, and after using the system to eliminate the common items from three of the other lists, everyone had a list of what they would be aiming to buy.

"Each of you has a budget of five million white flame coins, so spend wisely, but do not hesitate to pick anything that you see as valuable at the buyout price," Alex said, as minutes were left before the bidding began.

"Brother, Andrei has two mystery boxes in his list, each with a buyout of one million white flame coins,"

"You will not buy them," Venedikt said as he looked sternly at his brother.

"Brother, I am the lucky one of the family, and I think I will get lucky with those mystery boxes," Andrei stated with a grin, making Alex break into a smile.

'I can't argue with that statement,' Alex thought, realizing Andrei was the luckiest among the three of them.

"Well, let's wish you get lucky," Alex stated with a chuckle as he singled Venedikt to let it slide because even if it was a waste of money, it didn't matter because of the wild amount they were receiving weekly from the five factions and individual players.
